"In my arms" from Ancient Bards is also such a fantastic power ballad, its still part of my playlist since whenever it was released.

What about Lacuna Coil from Italy? they've been around forever. And I just heard a new release from them which I like, because I never really liked them before

As italian myself I suggest you other 2 interesting italian metal bands: Temperance and Moonlight Haze. You could react to "The last hope in a world of hopes" and "My demons can't sleep" official videos from Temperance and "Enigma" or "To the moon and back" videos from Moonlight Haze. I love your channel so thank you regardless :)

Ancient Bards are a great band. Seen them live in 2015. Waiting ever since to see them again.

Hope you can do Rhapsody Of Fire "Chains Of Destiny" vs Elvenking - "Invoking The Woodland Spirit". Both are also Italian bands. Btw, the drummer of Ancient Bards is also the drummer of Wind Rose.

I think it's almost 17 years since the band was formed. The female singer is Sara Squadrani, I think she started in the band in 2007 if I remember correctly. Both bands are really good but Ancien Bards wins 7 days a week but that's my opinion

I dig this sooo much. Thanks for heading up with this bands together. Imo, "Kings" or " The Shieldmaiden" from Frozen Crown would have been a better pick against Ancient Bards. :) :) But yes, i love these 2 bands like you do. With a slightly advantage for Ancient Bards for their consistent story telling and Saras voice, of course. ^^^ And i've to add, never stop talking "stupid", it's so funny. :) All the best from Germany Chris

Movie reference was "The fifth element". I would say not so nerd but definitely old. That movie is already 25 years old. (Edit: Heck, you gave it up towards the end of the video. Not fair! hehe)

Ancient Bards Members Sara Squadrani lead vocals. Shes an amazing singer, truly unique voice Simone Bertozzi guitar and does the harsh vocals Claudio Pietronik the other guitar guy been with the band for a long time Martino Garattoni on the bass he is so talented! Daniele Mazza on the keyboards and the one who formed the band Federico Gatti on the drums, he can make them sing Those are all the band members. Hope this helps :)

I don't think there's any inspiration in Nightwish. Tuomas was initially inspired by Stratovarius and keyboardist Jens Jhonston played with guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen. He mixed power metal with neoclassical guitars from Ritch Blackmore (Deep Purple and Rainbow). The orchestral elements are from Thy Majestie, also from Italy. The mix with the male vocals can be compared to the French symphonic metal band Penumbra.

I vote Frozen crown clean straight forward great guitar back and forth . Baird is a little too over produced for me.

Sorry, but everything and everyone going against Sara isn't going to end well. Without even counting the rest of the band. Sorry, but Sara is probably the voice I most loved in 30 and more years I heard music :)
