The hardest model from Satoshi I ever folded successfully is the unicorn. The divine dragon was harder but I couldn't detail it properly so I disconsider it as an achievement. But my favorite for spare time folding and sensible size of paper is the unicorn from his first publication works of Satoshi Kamiya. It's been over a year I don't fold one but I remember every step from making so many in my adolescence.

@oaladinv10 жыл бұрын
well, i'm answering about 8 months after you commented my video, sorry about that. Actually, I just forgot this video after I Uploaded it. I Really wasn't hoping to get any view at all, so I just didn't payed attention. It's quite a big surprise for me. kyoshingo, I'm no professional origamist, but I started folding when I was just a child. I got a LOT amazed when I saw the Ancient Dragon my first time. Since that day, folding Ancient Dragon had become my only priority on origami, I wondn't stop until I colud fold one. When I was 12, i've made my first attempt. Horrible as you can imagine it. Jus as my second, and third, and so on and on. Yes, I do find that model very difficult, so here is my tip: use Tissue foil, it holds your folds very well, and try bigger papers. the original model, folded by satoshi was 45cmx45cm I believe. try to use like 75cm x 75cm, and you will see the difference.
@kyoshingo10 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the helpful advice and words of encouragement. I am currently making my first attempt at the Ancient Dragon model. It is really making my head hurt I keep getting so frustrated with the smallest steps. Steps 17 through 22 seemed simple but they drove me crazy trying to line up the folds. But Im not giving up. I'm using origami foil paper now but I am going to make my own tissue foil about 75cm x 75cm like you recommended. I will let you know when I finish it. Again thanks for the words of encouragement.
@oaladinv10 жыл бұрын
kyoshingo I'll be waiting to see your results! take your time, if you're having trouble with some steps, try to do something else, relax your head, and then, when you return to it, the problem may be easier to solve.

Again thanks for the words of confidence, and also thanks for keeping in contact. I will keep your advice in mind and I will be sure to show you my final results. I am making some really large sheets of tissue foil and when they are ready I will get back to it. I wont give up!!!!

Its called tissue foil there are at least 10 tutorials that come up when you type in the KZbin search bar "How to make tissue foil origami" Its made by bringing foil (same as kitchen use one) and tissue paper (any supermarket beside gift wraping and stuff) and you literally glue it togethrt with white glue. Thats it. Yiu can put tissue paper on the otger side if u dont want the foil color. I hope this helps though it's a month late :)
