Wrestling is in reality our national sport. Recently the Great Gama of the Aryan Kashmiri ethnicity demonstrated our great traditions. Now again India has many world class wrestlers. AN OPINION ON SPORTS IN INDIA. Time for 1.4 billion Indians to wake up and create a solid sports infra-structure so that our talented youth can excel in sports at the international level such as in the Olympics. India is spending lots of resources and money on Cricket which is not a genuine sport but in reality entertainment. Let us enjoy Cricket but not make it our primary focus. We should have a national sport as well. India has a great tradition in wrestling (since time immemorial) and if we push it further we can be number one on this planet. Also genetics plays a great role in sports. While no race is superior to the other but what is obvious to even a naïve individual that all races have different potential. Example Africans excel on the track with little training the Aryan Race (to which most Indians belong) has great potential in wrestling, power sports, etc. While pure Africans men are rarely good in wrestling many African women do well in wrestling. Since they have high levels of testosterone the male hormone. If you take wrestling races such as Aryans, Turks, Semites, Mongols, etc. excel (naturally with good training) since the genes of these races are advantageous for power sports. Take Semites they are good in wrestling, weightlifting, etc. but some Semites fail to excel in these sports due to prolonged exposure to a certain environment for several millennia. Example Ethiopians are Semites but rarely are good in wrestling but superb on the track due to impact on their genes due to a prolonged exposure to a specific climate for a long period. India is the most united and the most diverse nation. Thus we have talent in most sports disciplines.
