It’s not that expensive to go. My dad and his wife n 2 kids and my grandma went a few years ago for 5 days which included the hotel and tours all for 3 grand. That’s only like 600 bucks each. If you wanna go you should find a church that’s going and then get the tickets together with the congregation then the price will go way down then you also get to go with a whole church.

I saw the steps on a visit to Israel in 2017 and it sounded like it would be a long time and lots of negotiation with a property owner to make the excavation happen. I'm so excited to see how far the project has come since then! This video also puts into perspective that Jesus was gesturing toward the rock at the site, representing the gates of hell. Many think he was pointing to Peter, but the word play suggest he is a piece of the rock that builds the kingdom against the gates of hell. His name, along with the other 12 apostles, is on the 12 foundations of the new temple in revelation.

If the Jews thought Jesus was the Son of God and their Messiah, there wouldn't be a difference between Judaism and Christianity would there? If Jew celebrated like Christians, they'd consider Bethlehem as the place Jesus was born. The Jews don't consider it a holy place, that's why it's in the West Bank. I have yet to see an interview with the christians in Bethlehem or even hear It mentioned. Does anyone know how the christians are doing over there? I would think TBN, being a Christian channel, would have done something to help the Christians in Bethlehem but they don't even get mentioned.

Why don't Christians in Bethlehem ever get talked about? I know Israel doesn't consider Bethlehem a Holy Site and it's located in the West Bank. It'd be nice if somebody would see how they're doing, especially on a Christian Network. I have never heard Erick even mention Bethlehem, let alone talking to Christians in the years he's been working there. SAD.

Yes - I am open-minded about this. It would explain the number of tombs at the site of about the right time period and he could have been facing the holy of holies as with other sacrifices. The suggestion is it near the thoroughfare on the mount, "outside the camp", close to the Mikphad altar, and where he committed the offense of riding in to Jerusalem as king.
