From what I can remember of Josephus writing, the hippodrome was to the south of the Temple and Pilates palace. I had hoped they would find the Pool of Silom but it is also helpful to find out where the hippodrome is. Thank you for this video. I have no doubt that the Lord will continue to uncover more, the closer we get to the Lord Jesus returning. God bless you. What a time to be alive as believers in Jesus Christ.😁

The new information, or rather new ideas to what this place might have been, was presented in the annual city of David archeological conference. However it's in Hebrew: kzbin.infoAJ4oseF_bnk?si=SqgfrEGjIz6wmtag Starting approx 2:23:30

In Sydney they built a pool on the shore of Sydney harbour, by coincidence it looks a lot like this excevation. It's at a place called Barangaroo. Try looking it up if you want, I I have a brief video of it

They are starting to excavate faster There are several pool areas around Jerusalem but this one and area larger than most I have seen I am sure they can tell so much more due to the age of the. Stones

Thought it interesting looking at the geography of the area. You have further down the hill the valley of Hinnom, Sheol, the city garbage dump. You make your way up to what I thought was the pool of Siloam. Then once you are clean, you then go up to the highest point, the Temple Mount. Would maybe throw my theory out if this is not the pool of Siloam. Hell below. Cleansing pool. Holy place above.

This is a large edifice. The Pool of Siloam would likely have been a large Pool to accommodate the whole nation of Israel for purification before ascending to the Temple. If it is in the place of the Pool of Siloam, then it would likely be the Pool, even if it has been altered or repurposed by those like Herod since the time of Christ Jesus.
@kiwifruit272 ай бұрын
If it’s at the start of the ascent to the Temple then it would make sense for it to be the Pool of Siloam but maybe we will find out more information in the future

YOU ARE CORRECT THE GIHON SPRING STILL RUNS TO THE POOL ... THERE IS NO OTHER SPOT OR CANDIDATE THAT CAN BE SUPPLIED WATER BY THE GIHON SPRINGS ... AND RIGHT NEXT TO THIS POOL RUNS THE PATH OF THE PILGRIMS UP TO THE TEMPLE MOUNT ... THEY ARE HIDING IT
@sarahbell43442 ай бұрын
Perhaps the rest of the pool of Siloam was destroyed during the 70AD Destruction? And only that small portion survives. Seems stupid that the stairs descending down are cut off at that edge. That after the destruction they built other things on top and then also dug a cistern as the spring was running there anyway.? Will be interesting to find out 😊
@markmetternich76292 ай бұрын
⭐️Where does the pilgrimage road end exactly? That should give us the clue where the pool of Siloam is.
@zahishaked2 ай бұрын
It's end at the Jewish temple entrances
@knowinghistruth72272 ай бұрын
Are those stairs at the face of the Hinnom valley. If so, I wonder if that is where they would go to throw stuff into it? It would seem to me that the water spot with the pillar may be a more likely candidate for the pool of Siloam. It would be really nice be able to see where each of those are in relation to the Pilgrim’s road.

The lost hippodrome that Josephus spoke about in his writings?

Wow Zahi, this is really interesting, Ah Jerusalem, so much , so much has happened in that place.
@joedupre33262 ай бұрын
Time determines this site obviously Zahi, Pool of Soloman ~1000bc. 1st constuction by Herod for the battle of Actum, for Augustus,, then the Jews got upset, Herod brings this show to Ceaseria, then the Jews turn it into the Pool of Siloam, during the construction of the 2nd temple, huge mikvaw, then later during the Alei Capitalina time period , to make the city more secure, by using the tunnel of Hezachiah to feed this storage / pool reservoir for the roman city. ??Maybe??
@joedupre33262 ай бұрын
There are probably 3 or 4 churches along the path of time that surrounded this precious water source/storage
