What are the best couple of books to read to read the texts of these ancient cuneiform tablets of medicine and magic? Thanks!
@NewThinkingAllowed8 ай бұрын
A great place to begin is the book, The First Ghosts: Most Ancient of Legacies by Irving Finkel. He cites many sources in his book, and there are books and resources mentioned in this interview. If you really want to go further you may explore learning how to read ancient cuneiform writing. 😃Thank you for watching! -Emmy Vadnais, CoHost

@@NewThinkingAllowed bro so I've been a fan of Irving Finkel for like 8 years. I always wished I could see more of his interviews. But I just typed Irving Finkel into youtube. Sorted by latest upload. Turns out there is a very large amount of interviews I have yet to listen to, I'm just really glad he's actually been speaking out more for the record than I thought he was before. Ill check this interview out later. Might speak my thoughts then. But thanks for doing this interview I adore Irving.

Dr. Finkel is one of the most wonderful amazing and brilliant experts (and humans) of our time❣️ When I first spotted his talks about ancient works I thought he had to be an actor who had encompassed all our favorite souls and minds… thrillingly he’s real. And finally getting to see his discovery about the “real arc” and then building one!! Absolutely ineffably stupendous! And I love his heart.. how he’s set up saving recent but more modern diaries of average people. He read to us some in that documentary. So caring and concerned regarding the lives in written words of average people in our recent history ❤ Made me consider sending him mine. 😊

Did our ancestors experience spirit creatures more than us today because they manifested them into existence via their collective subconscious? The ancient Greeks called these thoughtforms "Egregores".
@misdangered43268 ай бұрын
In the same way UFO’s are perhaps being manifested into existence in modern times.
@metaphysicalArtist8 ай бұрын
While the ancient Greeks didn't use the term "egregore" (which actually comes from a French occult term coined in the early 1900s), they did have similar concepts. For example, Plato talked about the "noosphere," which refers to the collective consciousness of humanity, and Aristotle discussed the idea of "forms," which are abstract concepts or ideas that exist independently of physical objects. Later on, the Neoplatonists and Hermeticists developed the concept of "daemons" or "genii," which were spiritual beings that could influence human thought and behavior. In some ways, these ideas could be seen as precursors to the modern concept of egregores.

Very interesting! I wonder if there is any connection between ancient Mesopotamia magic and the Hindu Vedic texts, such as the Atharva Veda (1200BC) which is full of magical spells and rituals.
@NewThinkingAllowed8 ай бұрын
Great question! Irving Finkel told me in his first interview on New Thinking Allowed, Evidence of First Ghosts, that the gods and ancient magical practices of ancient Mesopotamia evolved and turned into the world's religions. I found a book that directly answers your question in its title, All Vedic Hindu Gods are of Mesopotamian Origin by Sukumar Das.www.barnesandnoble.com/w/all-vedic-hindu-gods-are-of-mesopotamian-origin-sukumar-das/1139118475 Thank you for watching! -Emmy Vadnais, CoHost

The seer will see and hearer will hear are two types of prophetic gifts that prophets have. One sees visions the other hears words within themselves as if audible. 1 Samuel 9:9 NASB20 - (Previously in Israel, when a man went to inquire of God, he used to say, “Come, and let’s go to the seer”; for he who is called a prophet now was previously called a seer.)

I can honestly say that those people back then who believed that witches, devil's/demons and ghosts, etc, as being the source of illness and evils that befell people, were FAR closer to the truth then we are today about the causes of such afflictions. And I'm not just blowing hot air here, I have experiences to back up my claims. It's funny to think, we fancy ourselves so advanced, and laugh at our "primitive" ancestors beliefs and practices, but they possessed insights into thing's that we have completely lost in today's world that are sorely needed for true, holistic healing and integration

@@westsaxon How can I show you something Subjective ? These thing's are subjective by nature (which is why they are disbelieved) It can only be experienced. Sorry, I blocked the Bulgarian witch I met on FB who called up a Demon and sent it at me to deliver her curse... I'm not a yogi, so i can't transfer my energy to you remotely so that you can experience a Kundalini awakening... You see my problem with "showing" you? The methods do exist to find out for yourself however... Without any room for doubt.
