I was a shepherd, with my dogs, goats and horses, for thirty years. Before my shepherding years I gathered, hunted and fished, living for years in teepees and old cabins. Now I'm an old man, still living in this one room cabin in these tall remote mountains but with no animals any longer. I'm still growing a large garden to keep myself going and those wild animals I used to hunt (for food) are now my friends. I always loved milking my goats, providing milk and yogurt for village folk and gaining a meager financial living for myself. My mountain village has power, obviously, and so modern technology is with us all. My life has been an adventure and I am grateful for having done what I've done and for having what I have. Bear showed up again today, checking on the old productive crab apple tree, I'll have to keep an eye out for that big bruin but in all my years living in such wild places I've never had to shoot a bear, which makes me glad. Avalanches are part of life here as well. My water source is a small creek that has its beginnings in a snow field nestled into a steep north facing valley on the back side of the mountain. Lately deer with their fawns have been showing up and I'm always glad to see them lingering here in my yard and orchard. Shepherding and living close to the earth gave me a wonderful life.

Hello. You lived such a beautiful and natural life, believe me, I was jealous of you. You lived the life I dreamed of and wanted to live, and I am trying to move forward on this path. you have aged real life and I am sure that you have collected very good memories. There will be all kinds of wild animals in such places, but it certainly does not harm us and it is absolutely wrong to kill. It is our living space after all.

Words cannot express how much I enjoyed this video. Uncle Abdullah has such an incredible wealth of knowledge and history that it was absolutely fascinating to listen to him. We have lost so much of our old ways of life that whenever I have the privilege of listening to one of the days gone by, I am grateful. I could vividly imagine the village life in the highland from the stories told by Uncle Abdullah. The visuals are stunning, the plateau area is absolutely breathtaking with all surrounding views. You've shot a really special video here and I thoroughly enjoyed watching every minute of it! As always my friend, stay safe, be happy and well. :-)

I really loved this video! You are so lucky to have met this wonderful gentleman and been allowed to stay in the primitive cabin and immerse yourself in his world. He has spent his life as those who came before him and will to the end of his days, He has gathered knowledge from his forbearers and from living the traditions that have shaped life in that part of the world for centuries. I'm so glad he allowed you to be a part of that way of life that I fear will be gone in the not too distant future. Good for you for valuing the history and natural wonders of your beautiful country and it's people and thank you for allowing us in as well through your awesome videos. More please!!! Thank you!
