In this adventure I explore and document an ancient mysterious standing stone located in agricultural land near Airlie Village Scotland.

i am so glad that i found your channel, we moved up here to Scotland 10 years ago. one of the things high on our list was to explore ancient history like you do. Unfortunately three weeks after we moved in i had a brain aneurism that has prevented us from doing as much as we wanted, me being the driver in our family. your videos are giving me adventures and helping me explore with you our wonderful history . thank you for sharing.

Where there are single standing stones there would have been a stone circle nearby. Agriculture has destroyed many standing stones and stone circles but there are plenty stone circles left with single standing stones nearby. The best ones to see both are clava cairns in Inverness and Orkney but there are probably more nearby.

The view from the location is stunning in the directions of the suns path, but high ground towards the northern vista’s. Makes me wonder if there was potentially an settlement nearby & would it have been higher ground or lower ground? I would have to see old track maps in comparison to stone placements. They seem like guide stones when used as a single standing stone. On the continent they are often used as territory markers with “claims” carved into them, but I believe these are later dates for the carvings styles, but not necessarily contemporary to the placement of the stone. I love the archaeology for Prehistory 😁💯💕

I’m trying to figure out what area your accent is from. Would you mind telling me? A bit sounds like around Glasgow, but then, no. ?? 🏴 💙🏴💙🏴💙🏴💙🏴💙

Locals say these stones were landmarks. In the spirit realm stones have a profound presence and these stones were there to guide the lost spirit homeward where they would re-incarnate into their own brood. 😉
