12 minutes after its discovery, the health department pulled their permits and shut down the business citing covid 19.

But the gay bathhouse was left open because its a essential service. But the Pompeii Catholic Churches were to remain closed as going to church is a super spreader event.

Business entrepreneurship 2000 years ago, think of what business to set up & set it up. Now its, gain expensive qualifications, liability insurance, Gov decides on staff min wage, what hours they can do, work contracts, pension contributions, business tax & personal tax deductions, health insurance, deposits for property, equipment safety certificates and thousands of rules, regulations and hundreds of expensive red tape to apply and after all the working out you then find ................... It's far to expensive to open your own business.
@Aetius_of_Astora3 жыл бұрын
You'd be surprised just how much of that the old Romans had. Taxes: check Permits: check Deposits for property: check Work contracts: check Might not be nearly as bad as the bureaucracy we have today, but they certainly had it in their time as well.

I've been there...stayed with the family of a local historian/archeologist...showed us around pompeii... they protected stray dogs there.... so I don't know, although, I'm more surprised human phallus symbols aren't prominently visible... it wasn't something I expected at the time ...see, live and learn I suppose.

Ancient men and women paid for sex workers, had their fun, and then enjoy a bite on that street thousand years ago. Their painters were not half bad. Because they were getting LAID, and live was beautiful. Beautiful until mother nature took it all away from humanity, by a volcano eruption from hell.
@catfacepoetry32113 жыл бұрын
@ozayevable ??? That is not to do with womanhood. Ancient woman in that culture paid for male worker too. What was ungrateful about my comment? I have taken note from history that mother nature could be a cruel mistress, when everything seems to work fine. The painting on the food stand was beautiful, and it implied the local economy was healthy. I did not say their live was better. Neither the word better nor live was written by me. And the content of my comment has nothing to do with comparing that point and place in time to modern day comfort. However did you manage to miss the point so far off????you are reading on your delusional understanding, which is a reflection of you fundamentalism. Whatever you said about wifi, brat, and immaturity - all imaginary. All baseless, unrelated to the proper mechanism of psychology, and all came from a place of arrogance, that you think you know about live. Yet you are only, really, good at expressing your false understanding. of just anything you come across. I am sorry for you that you have grown up with a tornado of misinformation circling around your head. Now you are a fully grown person, and whatever you dislike, you disregard it as immature or whatever labels you blame the world for. Now I don't deny that I am ignorant on many things, but I am sure as hell today standard is not to be used in judging history. You saying their livelihood is not beautiful just because their live expectancy is shorter than ours and they have slavery, you are the immature brat!. The brat which refuses to use adjective to admire what had happened in history.
