Kind of an aside, but the way the whole family was so damn supportive of Marge with her pretzels was always my favorite part of the episode. This was when Marge was less wacky, so her attempt to have something for herself after giving up so much for her family was so meaningful for the character.

This is based on a real life Dodger game versus St. Louis, when they had "ball day" and there were some bad calls and the fans showered the field with baseballs. I was watching that game years ago in LA and Vin Scully literally said in that same tone "And here come the baseballs!"

Yeah, scoff! polite! You mean polite how EVERY one of them wouldn't take even one bite from their pretzels for the longest time while the announcer made a full announcement about the winner of the van, and then that EVERY one of them threw their pretzels onto the field at him, STILL without ever having taken even one tiny bite from the pretzels? Marge completely lost out in this episode, the WHOLE way through, it's what made this episode sort of unlikable. Those rude snobby "investorettes", who started totally dissing Marge from the beginning, triumphed several times throughout the episode with their businesses, but Marge completely lost out EVERY step of the way! To the very end of the episode! Lenny was the only one who gave Marge 1 dollar for a pretzel, right before the snobs showed up again to grab EVERYONE else away again! Cletus stiffed Marge for 30 free pretzels (how he got 30 free coupons is beyond me), every single fan at the stadium refused to taste their pretzels until they had an excuse to throw them away, and once Marge found Fat Tony and they did start to make profits, Tony grabbed ALL of them! Marge lost out every step of the way! She made 1 dollar, 1 dollar the entire episode that actually went to her wallet, one dollar that she could call hers, from Lenny, that was it! The investorettes, who frickin started the entire war, made alot more success than that, which wasn't grabbed away from them, which they actually made for themselves!
