Also the reason his life changed was his aesthetics, and no one even realized that's why they treated him differently. People assume that your work ethic and people skills are what nets you a better life, but statistically having a full head of hair and being taller than average both increase your chances of higher pay and a higher position. Nearly every US president has had a full head of hair. Average male CEO height is well above control, and personally when I was younger after I spent a couple years in the gym and was very fit and strong, the difference in how people treated me was astounding. I was still shy, awkward and self conscious, but it was seen as mysterious and reserved instead of pathetic or creepy. Gifts, food, invites, favors, holding the door, etc. It just kinda taught me that we're still animals and regardless of what we think, we still respond to the health and fitness of each other.

@@theusher2893 It's a cartoon that became popular and successful for providing biting social commentary and satire beyond the scope of virtually any other comedy of its era. If you don't see the subtext in the episode, I have bad news - the money you're apparently so proud of can't buy you a couple more IQ points.

This was an excellent cut, but had it been just 2 seconds longer, we'd have caught Karl's legendary single *'sneeze'* as he walked away in the rain. That little detail was just one of the things that made the early seasons of The Simpsons the best!
