In 2018, Mayor Bill De Blasio declared June 26th 'Mordechi Modi Rosenfeld Day' in the city of New York for his accomplishments and contributions to the artistic community.

FIRST!! YEA! As the daughter of a history professor, and an (amateur) historian myself, I always enjoy watching history "click" with someone! I adore Modi and follow him closely. My 4 kids had a similar education to his, which is very different from how Leo likely (clearly) grew up. He is also a couple decades younger than myself (and Modi). Watching him become enthralled with Dana and her book, and American history from a century ago, looking like he was eager for more, was delicious to me! (And coincidentally I had just been discussing the Kennedy/Nixon debate with my son over lunch!)
