The thoughts at intimacy were brutal. Now If they pop up, I just say to myself, “thanks for the thought!”
@OCDrecoveryNick2 күн бұрын
Hey Manrob - We want to be careful with that too. Recovery doesn't require neutralizing mantras, try and let it be there with zero response.
@samwilliams837Күн бұрын
A deeper level of acceptance and a further change of relationship with the thought will be required to fully get under this. Acceptance isn't agreement!

@ thanks Sam! The acceptance is not agreement is what I need to work on.

That ocd jingle at the start in every video gives me a bit of a breakdown 😬

Thanks for the vid, Sam! Would you say all engagement with the thoughts has to stop? Cuz when i'm responding to them i'm doing so in a rational manner, like for example: *Intrusive memory comes in* then me: "I'd rather not think about this but i'll allow it". Even this kind of internal dialogue has to stop? Because i dont know if it classifies as automathic rumination or not

Okay, let's not fight the thoughts that come to our minds, but how do we fight anxiety?
