*I feel compelled to write this message. I respond to this song/video, which I have only just heard for the first time tonight. I am 57. I was a drummer and am a keyboardist. I am a major fan of seventies and 80's music. However, and I hesitated to share this, and how is it possible... I have never heard of Status Quo or Francis Rossi. I happened upon a Status Quo video this evening, which was random on KZbin. It was in-line with other suggested songs in a playlist I never looked at because I was working on a project. When I suddenly heard this warm, but crystal bell voice of a man singing, "In the Army Now", I stopped what I was doing and came to the computer screen to see where that spectacular, bright/beautiful melody was coming from. To say I was "overcome" by the few minutes that unfolded in that song - is a drastic understatement. I instantly searched, "Status Quo" and, especially, "Francis Rossi". I found Status Quo's Greatest Hits to see and listen to what I had been missing. Honestly, I didn't know any of the songs. However, when I found this song, after I searched into the other songs of Francis Rossi, solo artist, it nailed me to the floor. I have it on repeat. I can't get enough of this! In this little time frame, I became "Insta-Fan". I am on a mission to delve into the wide world of Status Quo and Francis Rossi. I can't wait to collect the gemstones Francis left along the path of his many years in Rock and Roll, which I have never walked before. I have a lot of catching-up to do. Thank you for the magic I have been missing all these years, Sir.*

The Stables Milton Keynes. Personally one of my favorite venues in UK. Easy Parking, Restaurant, Bar, Comfy Seats, Great view, Great Staff, Good Sound, Reasonably priced tickets. Possibly why I am there so often. If you get the chance get on the mailing list as there are always quality acts appearing there. Rhino has also played the venue this summer performing with Kossoff- The band plays on. Doug Yates (Milton Keynes).

I played this song with my best friend on the acoustic guitar. I guess 35 years ago and we said, I hope they will make some acoustic versions of some of these songs. And after all these year's the finely did. But this one is much better that on the acoustic cd. ❤
