Why couldn’t Carrie just rent out her apartment and keep it as an investment?

I hate like Lilly and Rock are pushing their mom away when she cares. But once she is out there, downtown hanging out with her colleagues or friends they get needy and act like toddlers in the middle of sepparation anxiety. Like wtf? Are you f´ing babies or what? This series has taken a nasty turn for me regarding its lead character Carrie Bradshaw. The woman is a fickle, man-crazed twit. She was perfectly happy in her marriage to Big. I daresay she hadn't given Aiden a second thought after she and Big tied the knot (that flirtation in the Middle East notwithstanding). She went into what may have been a six-month depressive slump when her marriage to him didn't happen. Now, that Aiden is back in the picture, Ms. Bradshaw had the nerve to try to cast her life with Big as a "mistake." I'm done.

They wrote off Willie Garson’s character in a disgusting manner. To abandon Anthony in such a manner? He should have been written off in a plot line where Anthony politely verbalizes they parted ways amicably & we just don’t see that on camera (for obvious reasons). This is why Kim Cattrall is annoyed with the behind the scenes of this show. Because clearly the writers don’t have respect for the actors.

While Che didn't know that Miranda would be in the audience, they DID know that Carrie was coming. That's her best friend. Did they think she'd be cool with it? So RUDE. Also, the downplaying of a man lying about a vasectomy was troubling. Lastly, with everything going on w/women's reproductive rights, or lack thereof, it would have been meaningful to have had Lisa's character discuss abortion.

I agree, that would have been the time for the writers to be bold, pick a side and have their protagonist have an abortion. However, all the woke propaganda that they’re doing is very clumsy because they are not in fact woke. They are just afraid to be canceled and criticized. They don’t want to offend anyone so they don’t pick a side and the show suffers. It’s bland. It feels like the characters are a shell of themselves.

My predictions: - Carrie and Aidan will have an amicable break up so that he can concentrate on his sons more. They will still be on and off together in case they continue for next season and have something to talk about - Miranda during dinner will realize she is over Steve and Che. The british lady will text her, and Miranda will run to meet her and continue her lesbian phase - Charlotte will return to her factory settings and will ease up on her work hours in order to dedicate more time with her family - - Anthony will have his first bottom experience and he will claim it changed his life (doesn’t he have any men gay friends to ask instead of going to Charlotte and ask for advice?...) - LTW / Seema / Nya, no one knows and no one cares what will happen to them - All the husbands will continue to be ornaments - The kids… who knows if they will have 5 lines each during next season - Hopefully Che will decide to leave NY and go wherever we wont see this character again

I don’t believe for a second that Carrie’s apt is so clean because she scrubs her toilet , washes her floor, waxes her oven ( that she doesn’t use) etc. Millionaire ( like Carrie ) hire help so they can focus on more important things like saving the world by buying shoes and brunching with the girls. 😊

Chef's kiss!😂 Besides that, Seema is so annoying here. She is in her 50's and acts like a high school girl... Come on, if that "don't tell him you are into him" strategy didn't work for the last 40 years, maybe it's time to change the strategy? And lastly, about the ending; I'm not optimistic. For some reason, I think something bad is going to happen. Samantha will crash the dinner and drop an "I sued you and now I'll have all your Big money" bomb. Aiden's son will die or stay in a wheelchair and Aiden will be too depressed. Carrie won't be able to handle this and they will brake up. I wish I'm wrong, but I have a bad feeling about it

Aiden breaking down crying in the car would have been better if we were connected more. We hardly knew the kid, the relationship or why any of it was happening. It was random. We never even saw Aiden get emotional when Carrie said she cheated on him (not a good comparison I know). I was genuinely upset last week as I didn't know this episode was going to be a 2 parter, I was expecting to see Samantha. I think Carrie will end up moving to Virginia so Aidan can be closer to his kids, hence why the writers made her sell her apartment again like symbolism that she is moving on and this is the end of the show, but seriously, does she never learn! Each time she sold it, something bad happened, and Miranda even warned her the second time because she was moving in with Big without her name on the new penthouse before they decided to get married, but Carrie was like I'm a big girl, I haven't worked out the details yet but i want you to be jealous, ughh. Carrie and Aidan are clearly not meant to be but if it makes the series wrap up, I'll take it. I'm glad Charlotte stood up for herself, and said I was a person before you, this hit hard as I see this for myself in my family, I do everything for my child, partner, the house etc and I work, yet my partner does little and expects so much from me all the time, just because I'm the mother, which is bs. I was equally annoyed at Rock asking her mum who was at work to go home to get her notebook, I'd never have the audacity to do that to my mother. I always packed my school bag the night before. I genuinely felt bad for Miranda at Che's stand up, yet Che was acting like the victim to Miranda when they were literally roasting Miranda who was finding herself sexually (not defending Miranda cheating here) no one forced Che to be with her, we all know they dated Miranda cause narcs have to be with people who will constantly feed their ego. They are a huge abusive narc, and I hated how it was shown that people mistakenly get their pronoun wrong and they're so angry about it like we don't have sympathy for you. Also, I hate Carrie's weird loyalty towards Che, Miranda is your best friend yet you decide to stay to watch the stand-up and you never tell Che off for being so terrible towards your friend? And also, why is she still friends with them, she only worked with them. And, what about when Carrie was so invalidating towards Miranda not wanting to come to her dinner because Che will be there, which is fair, yet Carrie has decided to invite them and Steve, who will have to face the person Miranda cheated on him with? What the hell Carrie. And just like that.. Carrie is still a self-absorbed selfish friend.

I believe in Season 1, Lissette was introduced as a model. She was having loud parties with her model friends and Carrie complained about it when she moved back in her apartment after Big’s death. Don’t know why they didn’t reference that and only focused on Lissette’s jewelry line in Season 2.

Carrie also showed zero empathy for Miranda the day after when she expressed concerns about seeing Che at the last supper. She was like :”nope. Don’t care. You’re coming. “End of discussion. She put Miranda and Che at the same level when Che is not even really a friend. Che is Carrie’s former boss and a nice acquaintance. They know nothing about Carrie’s past. Never heard of Aiden, never lived something meaningful in this apt for the past 30 years so she has no business here. Steve , I understand although even that is debatable. I don’t have personal friendship with my best friend’s husband. She can be friendly with him of course but to get an invitation to her apt’s farewell?? Why?? Did he lived there? I don’t get it. I would only have invited My intimate friends. No exes of any kind . She can see Steve at Coney Island .

Carrie would have taken to her bed and demanded Samantha spoon feed her for 6 months if Miranda dared to invite an ex she has just broken up with to her party. Why do I think Che and Steve will get along and Miranda will be obsequious to Che yet again? They ruined too many things in the first season of AJLT. The only mistake Aiden makes is forgiving Carrie and taking her back in season 4. And kissing her in the desert. And now again taking her back. I don't think Aiden pushed her into marriage. He wanted things , he asked and she said yes for the wrong reasons. And she just didn't know who she was or what she wanted. Carrie had no backbone and poor morals in the SATC series. She cheats, demands forgiveness. She begs for him back but never considered if she begs for him back what would that mean? That to me means you are sure you want me. She didn't want to compromise in the relationship, she actually brought her ex who she cheated with to his country home! And if she hated his lifestyle, which he was transparent about she should have never gotten back with him. And Aiden, unlike Big, was always there for her and trying to meet her needs.

I don't think she should have had a conversation with Aiden; why? She's buying the apartment for herself with he and his children in mind. If he or his children don't come visit, that's on them. I don't understand the characterization of saying that Carrie makes decisions for men and she's man crazy and yet she buys an apartment (for herself) and she's supposed to consult a man? This is her money, it's not Aidan's. I think it's actually very generous and kind of her that she is purchasing it thinking that they might want to come visit, the kids that is.

I enjoyed aspects of this episode, but, overall, I was not that into it. I have come to the conclusion that I just can't stand Aidan; he is so cringey, and I don't get why Carrie rushed into buying a whole new place based on the idea that he would actually come stay with her. I knew somehow his kids would keep him from being able to commit to her, and I am not going to be sorry to see him go. I am glad that the writers/Aidan acknowledged his flaws from the original series in this episode, though -- it's about time! I'm also glad that Miranda brought up Skipper -- again, it's about time! #justiceforskipper I am extremely disappointed in the Che storyline in this episode, specifically the way the writers acted as though what they said during their comedy routine wasn't totally wrong. The whole "I'm tired of having to explain myself!" speech was so high-school-student that I couldn't help but roll my eyes continuously. The writers brush it off like Che was completely justified in their actions, but I think Miranda was right to feel angry, as, like she said, she never thought of Che as a bad thing in her life until that moment. It's also so stupid that the writers let Carrie just sit there and do nothing to comfort her best friend. The Charlotte storyline was my favorite thing about this whole season; Charlotte is actually the only character who gets a well-developed story arc that relates back to Sex and the City, and I appreciate this. Her letting Richard Burton into the bathroom with a little "hey baby!" after shouting her family down about being rude to her? Classic Charlotte. I love it. 10/10. I want to see season 3 happen, I really do; I think there are more things to explore, and I would love to see them get back to Carrie and Miranda dating different people and navigating their news lives. Unfortunately, I get the feeling that won't be happening due to the fact that the series hasn't been all that great and that, overall, the fans just don't like it.

@kelseyc203 that scene with Charlotte letting in the dog "hey Lil baby" floored me 😂 I agree, that was most like classic satc and classic charlotte! And Aiden is super cringey, i will say I always liked the banter and chemistry between Aiden and Carrie but as for them being a real thing it just never has or will work. Aiden not stepping foot into her old apartment is the stupidest and most childish RED Flag I have ever seen waved. And for her to uproot her whole life and buy a huge apartment to try and accommodate him is absurd. I don't see them working out. And what just shake me to core, was when Carrie after all these years, all the games with Big and hurting people because of him, suddenly says sth like "maybe it was mistake and Big wasn;t the one"- it was in previous episodes of AJLT - maybe not directly, but it was soo...bad. I guess screenwriters tries to make Big "bad mistake" after Chris Noth scandal? or what?

Carrie is an idiot. She was in paris with petrovsky and still thinking of big. How dare she say it was a mistake. No idea about her own feelings

Maybe Lisette had insurance at the jewellery shows. She was very upset because they were like art to her, but maybe they were insured for theft?

I think what I am most surprised about, are the really judgmental and very scathing comments people are making about this show in season 2. Season 2 is so much better than season 1. In many ways, we even see a new Carrie. Season 1 actually was a lot of the old Carrie. We see the writers really screw up Miranda's character & just more of her incredibly selfish choices go from bad to worse. Charlotte continues with her people pleasing ways, and an intro into her extremely selfish children (Rock's "They" mitzvah was great but their behavior was AWFUL!). Season 2 really circles back & takes care of some very flawed writing from Season 1. Love Season 2.

Wanna bet when she’s sober she apologizes to her whole family? Then she’ll quit her job. She’s a baby.

I might be alone here, but Im thinking her giving her apartment to the Single girl is an omage, and I dont want to disaapoint fans, but I think shes going to put Aidan first and leave NY.

So she's going to move to boyfriend island? Carrie is so desperate. She gives up her life for a man at the drop of a.hat

the writing is so lazy, CARRIE would have gotten up and left with Miranda, it would have made a lot more sense. Too many parallel plots, too many unnecessary characters, it's a mess. refocus on the OG characters
