The fact that Samantha ignored the other girls wasnt what made me furious, it was the storyline for her in general. Carrie wanting a new publicist would'nt have caused Samantha to fall out with her. Samantha and her siblings were raised in Connecticut by her mother. She moved to NYC as a young adult. She moved to L.A. for Smith but came back due to her love of the girls and NYC. Where exactly would the move/connection to London come from? Samantha never expressed ANY desire to be in London. Why not have her back in L.A. or some other "sexy/exciting" city? Also, Samantha never asked ANY of them for money. This whole storyline is an obvious, petty, and passive-agressive shot at the actress Kim not the character Samantha. She’s definitely the campest of the four but SJP has razor sharp comic delivery and perfectly executed expressions (in Mars Attacks she hams it up beautifully), and Cynthia Nixon has frequently made me laugh with her comic timing and delivery. Kristin Davis has also had her fair share of comedic moments through the show but I find her character quite neurotic, carefree and screechy in this reboot compared to the refined, restrained younger Charlotte, which is still believable, as we all change and evolve as we get older.

When she called, Carrie's only reaction was a smile, like nothing had happened. Nyas story is an important part of experience, I think people keep harping on it (Ive seen other reviewers talk about it too) because the viewers are starving for a character that is just fine not being in a romantic relationship. And while Nyas desire to have a man in her life is fine, realistic and important, the show is really missing someone to just be ok with their single self. And I dont mean another Samatha, Sam was just one specific type of a single woman and theres many ways to just be ok with being single, like you said friends, hobbies, other family members etc.

Aidan's character was always the one of a manipulative, egoistic big baby. But because he seemed so loving, loyal and caring, nobody seemed to notice. If you watch all the Aidan episodes ever, you'll understand that he was always "my way or the highway". And he still is. Big, on the other hand, was always honest. He was the bad boy, yes, but he never wore a mask. Carrie just didn't like that for ten years he couldn't or wouldn't give her what she wanted. But he was always the honest character.

I have to defend Harry. I always thought Charlotte had a trust and probably invested the 1m she got from Trey into a second income, but you cant raise 2 incredibly privileged Park Avenue brats without a lot of money. Between the two, Harry had the greater ability to provide the most income. Charlotte quit working when she met Trey, so her not working was her norm. She could have gone back to work part time and hired help. Hell, Miranda had childcare and cleaning service on one salary.

Also from what i remember she didnt say anything about Harry participating in taking care of the kids until she came back to work, he took care of the kids ONE morning and he had a fit about how hes now doing everything by himself lmao

Yes Kass Kimmy still has that "it" factor. 👁 heard she was paid a cool 1 mill, got her own stylist and didn't interact with the three besties or Mr. King as she requested. The show still stinks and she was wasted as expected. Here is the scene 👁 would have written. (Int. Carrie's Apt.) Cellphone ringing Carrie gets off her laptop 💻. Carrie: Samantha. Wait are you having.......what's that noise? Samantha: Take your mind out of the gutter. I'm actually in Sweden at an O - clinic. Carrie: An O clinic. What the hell is that? Samantha: Well (laughs) it's when you get lasered and the vibrations from erotic cinema unclogs the pores. It's fabulous better than botox. And this therapist is........ Carrie: So you're not coming? Things to fix Season 3. 1) Carrie and Steve start a relationship. 2) Miranda has an identity crisis and assumes an alternate identity, wig and all calling herself "Gloria" on dating websites. 3) Charlotte feels unappreciated at home and work and decides to take a "break." Renting a new apartment and working as an art curator. She is unsure if she wants her old life back. 4) Carrie and Miranda have a rift in the friendship 5) Brady and the demon child decide to get married in Vegas and the three put aside their differences to stop them.

I dont know why they husbands kind of stupid, and the kids just inconpetent. Like with Charlotte, you know they have a maid, and the kids are teenagers, like they can't make something on their own? I guess I would have liked it more if Charlotte sat the whole family down and made it clear that everybody needs to be more independent, including Charlotte. And then work a new system out so everybody is happy.

I loved Kim Cattrall as Samantha...but, honestly I didn't miss her this season. I really enjoyed season 2. IMO, the episodes got better and better. Whether you hate watched or really enjoyed the show...we still got a season 3😃🙌🏾

I loved the season 2 🙂 Can’t understand the hysteria around Samantha. The actress gave her reasons why she didn’t want to join the show. Mainly, because Samantha is all about sex and she wouldn’t be the same person in her 50es or 60es. The character would need to change and mature. Not sure fans would be happy with it. Look what they’ve done to Miranda 😅 That wasn’t the best development of her character.

Okay girl, wtf. There was Samantha the whole OG series who was happy without a relationship, Nya is just expressing what millions of women feel. Not that she doesn't feel accomplished, but it sucks to have noone to share it with. Sorry this bothers your independent ass, but most people are still social species and are happier in relationships (if it's a good one). Nya is strong and independent but that also makes her feelings longing for companionship also very valid.

Huge fan of sex and the city .. huge fan of and just like that!!! You know what they say .. the show must go on .. and I’m so happy they found their rhythm with all the new characters which I love!!! Was so good to see Samantha .. but the girls are doing a fabulous job without her … love that they are diving deeper with the characters and taking us on a journey!!! Every one complained about Samantha small 30 sec part saying it looked fake and forced, well what do you expect when she don’t want to film with any of that girls or the crew 🤷🏽‍♂️ get green screen and a phone call lol .. congrats on a 3rd season .. super excited !!!! And a fun fact … people didn’t like sex and the city … people thought it was all over the place and wasn’t relatable !!!! I think he was able to enter the apartment because his worries as a father instantly and thoroughly eclipse old, romantic dramatics for him. Not that he doesn't love her, but he is a father, first and foremost. And a bit of a power move, if unintended. After all she has done to him? He just gently but firmly put her in her place. I feel he would have put his family first in any partnership, but that's what I pulled from this one.

Someone explain why Charlotte was seated next to Carrie, while Miranda was at the opposite end of the table? Freaking Che got the other seat next to Carrie? And after that set? In what world?!? Also, it felt like a petty jab at Kim Cattrall to deflate the anticipation balloon by having her cameo in the 1st 5 minutes. You’ll understand Nya when you get her age and position in life . Don’t think that one can be happy without love. You’ll find out in the hardest way. Travels will not be exciting forever, your body will not be fashionable forever, friends will marry or move and will step away. None of us will be young and beautiful forever - or financialy healthy - and we are missing opportunities to have families. Family is the only people around when we get old and retired. Be responsable with your future, girl. Nobody can be happy and healthy getting old alone. Don’t take Carrie as an exemple: in her age, men will not chase you, friends will not be waiting around the corner. For most part of older active women that I know, church is the ultimate social life.

The last piece about the podcast about MPK says they want to flip the dynamic between Aidan and Carrie is a weak justification for character writing and development. This further make me feel like this whole time, since SATC, Carrie seriously just don’t know who she is. Tbh I actually think back in Season 4 of SATC where she said she can’t married to Aidan is the first time she realized that she doesn’t want to put this self worth in her SO anymore. If you look at Big (though I still think that’s her true love), and Alexander, she wants to be with them at all times because she feels a piece of her is not there when they are not there with her. What about your life ? Like Miranda was asking her in Season 6. Though AJLT is not the best and nearly destroyed all my fav thing from SATC, but I actually feel more season 2 more relatable, because we started to see character development and self discovery journey with Charlotte and Miranda. Charlotte finally realized with everything she has, she wants to work in a job she loves, and that’s not diminishing the fact that she is a wife and mom, that’s part of herself. Miranda went through this kinda horrible but yet awkward sexuality awakening which is encouraging to tell us it’s okay to be in the middle of the journey to be not okay to not yet reach to shore yet, that’s part of the self explore phase. But only Carrie, I didn’t see anything changes within her after the grief, I feel like she is still this same person from SATC, craving for this idea of “love”, not really know who she is. Especially when the last part of Aidan is asking her to wait for him for 5 years, which is totally boundary crossing. But Carrie seems fine with it because she doesn’t know her boundaries.

NGL, given Samantha's cancer past, I wish they would have just done away with her. Have a funeral, grieve, reminisce, move on. This whole idea that she checks in once a year and doesn't visit is WEIRD. And she'd show up to say goodbye to an apartment, but miss a funeral or other big events? No. It just doesn't make sense. Loved Samantha for most of the show, but she wasn't really a favorite towards the end and especially not in the last movie. I can't really say I miss her. Stop wasting my time with her and expand on the other characters! Esp Seema!!!

I disagree about Nya. It's okay to admit you don't want to be alone. If you love being single, that's awesome! Enjoy your best single life, but if you're a relationship person, you shouldn't miss out on having someone to share your life with. Being successful is awesome and I do wish they highlighted on that more, but its also very real to have a successful career, but still feel lonely. I do wish they would bring a character that truly loves being single and let her stay single!
