10:37 dude, osu! is a FREE rhythm game. Unlike to "most" of the rhythm game out there, in order to unlock new maps/songs you'll need to pay for it (but well that's the only way they can make money so you couldn't argue much about it). Not only that, osu! provides 4 types of game modes. You don't see that "often" in other rhythm game. Osu! is truly an amazing game and I really mean it. Proud of you peppy, don't have to be sorry if you and your team delayed some of the stuff. Happy 2018 man :)

keep in mind that said games have a very different ecosystem. osu! heavily relies on the community to create content. games you are paying for access to levels are creating the levels, art and music for your consumption. now that we have the resources, we're also doing similar things (see featured artists and mapping guild) but do keep the above in mind.

I used to spend my free time in the lazer discord as a dev. I contributed with something in the lazer dev but not too much was approved and merged. I very enjoyed my time over there and learned a lot of things that helped out with my current job as a junior c# dev. Also ppy smoogipoo and tom are just wonderfull people (all the others too) and chatting with them was pratically a pleasure to me. I'm bit sad that i can't find enough time to keep hanging with those guys, but in 2018 i wanna try and find some time to spend on improving the game i love. Still think that you should change lazer skin. Noobs won't be able to read that, it isn't "teachable" The default skin should be simple, but display everything so that the user understands. I feel like lazer default skin is more towards aesthetics rather than helping a new player understand. This wasn't meant to hate but you know, hopefully help. Anyways this is a great game, happy new years.

Being a osu! player Since like 6 years ago make me realise how much effort you put in this game, the development of this it's amazing, also it's a free game where you don't need to pay for beatmaps and that It's awesome! Even tho the team it's so small, you guys keep this game runing better than any other rythm game. You have made this project something to be proud of like a creator and we, as players, are really happy and proud of you. Keep it going, the game is amazing, beautiful, it's art. Thank you for updating us on the lazer project keep it up I know it's hard since I just started to code this year and optimizing code is a labor intensive task. Just out of curiosity can you run self learning ai to play the game just so it can quickly test the code for bugs? I know it's not as simple as 123 but maybe as a side project.

The current default skin is a MASSIVE improvement from the old triangles explosions. The "great" and "meh" messages are not distracting anymore, and the bright colours have been toned down to a playable state. While I still like the sharp textures and low alphas of my current skin, I wouldn't mind playing with this default at all.

If you actually think about it, though osu!dev has a team there still is so much to maintain in osu! like our Lord and Savior said. It would probably be slightly more efficient if Peppy was willing to hire volunteers (paid or not, up to him) to handle the emails and tweets or make a schedule on when he will reply or not (like 1 hr or 2 a day or per week). The osu!lazer looks fantastic though, the skin is slick and a lot of features are working well as it seems. Gj Peppy ^^ And nobody is complaining that osu!lazer isnt out yet, they understand

ppy, I hope you're reading this. Please, accept a new rule to osu!lazer code style to use filesystem real names. If file named osu-framework, it should be named as "osu-framework" in the project files or source code, not "Osu-Framework" or "OSU-FRAMEWORK". It just breaks on Linux and I actually don't know maybe my changes will break build somewhere. Thanks for everything, ppy. :)
