In this video I will share with you a number of experiences that happened to me while using my cane and when I didn’t use it. I will share advice for those who are cited and run into a person that is blind as well as advice for individuals that are experiencing vision loss and are struggling with excepting that they have to use a cane. In this video I seek to be comedic but also educational. Enjoy!

Dude you should make an instructional video on cane usage. It’d be both informative and have a bit of humor to it too 🙂 Oh and I hope your friends did learn quickly to not walk next to your side that you’re holding your cane so they wouldn’t get elbowed lol.

That’s the worst when you don’t use your cane because it’s a familiar environment, but then there’s an unforeseen obstacle. And when I was in college people always assumed that I was drunk because I was always tripping or bumping into things. And that’s one of my biggest pet peeves when I’m using my cane and people don’t move out of my way.

At least when I was drunk I would be like I’m not drunk I’m just blind LOL And yes that also frustrates me too for whatever reason people seem to freeze like deer in headlights when somebody with a cane is walking in front of them LOL it’s like just move to the side. What bothered me the most was when they would make noise instead of moving.

Life Beyond Vision what bothers me the most is when I hear people talking in the middle of the sidewalk, but when I would get closer I didn’t hear them anymore so I assumed they moved. But they were just silently standing in the middle of the sidewalk and let me run into them. Like if you’re not going to move at least continue talking so I know that you’re there.

Ah Yes, those people that stop and stare instead of moving. Yeah i dislike those people to LOL
