Honestly the fact that Ghost of Tsushima did not get GotY when it came out proves that the Awards are honestly rigged. what got it? freaking Last of us Part 2? yeah sounds about right, only established titles seem to get Game of the Year.

@ColetheFlame01 I be honest, "never forget the betrayal", this reads like a 12 year old trying to sound deep. Yeah part 2 was shit, but it was popular and as many haters...there was fans. Nowadays people decided yeah wasn't good, but it's like Overwatch which also won, super overhyped and realized it was mid. People fall for hype of games all the time.

Have you ever seen the Crunchyroll Awards? Expect that. Only popular stuff will win. Quality will not matter at all. Audiences have never been good on actually deciding what deserves an award because they haven't actually seen and played everything. Don't get me wrong having those few people do it also isn't the best, but I certainly prefer someone deciding who has played a ton of games of different varieties, over your average joe who hasn't played any RPGs and thinks all of them are bad deciding what the next best RPG is and voting Call of Duty as game of the year.

I know Geoff Keighley says he's not a part of the decision making progress for the nominees, but it feels SUS when he sounded super disinterested in promoting Sonic X Shadow Generations at SGF, and the game now has no nominations at all. I'm fine with it not being GOTY contender, but surly it deserves at least one nomination for what the game achieved? Am I too biased for thinking about that? anyway, it aint worth the stress, just wanted to share my thoughts.
