As a person who's coded before, it even takes a lot of time just to make a simple button. To customize it, add a border, add a nice font. It's even more tedious to make assets. Idrk what language Luni programs in, but even in the simplest "language" (if u can even call it a language), it still takes time to make a game (referring to scratch). And it still takes time to learn the language. Luni cannot be expected to program and make updates faster than his fingers can type. Next, Luni is the sole developer of the game, so he cannot rapid-fire updates weekly. As a person who makes very long videos myself, we both have big projects. From my experience, I need ~2 months to make a meh GCMM with no quality movement. I would probably need 5+ months to make a high quality one. Luni is trying his best on the code, and being alone with no colleagues can make it very hard and stressful for him. Most sensible people would rather have Luni prioritize his mental + physical health over making a game which people can just wait for. Seriously, to all the people complaining about Luni, try to make one game. Just one, "simple" dress-up game in any language. It's hard. So is Luni's life when every iPad kid rushes him to make a new game. Please respect Luni. (Pls pin this Flo and people like this so we can spread awareness)

My issue with Luni is not how long it’s taken him to make the game. He really should’ve just worked on the game and released it when it was ready. No, my issue is the lack of communication and broken promises, as well as him doing and promising way too much! He hasn’t really said much about the updates or the progress on them or issues with development, etc. He also kept saying “Oh, we’re gonna make GL3 and GL4” when he was already working on Wonderend and GL2. Luni just needed to pace himself. I know he’s in a very pressuring position, but he worsened it by both those actions. I’m willing to wait for the update to come out, as game development is not a “snap” and it’s done, however Luni needs to be more considerate of what he does and says. I think really it’s a balance of not saying too much but also not saying too little. This is MY opinion though. Luni is still a cool dude, but I have my issues.

Toby for being too mysterious and vague to the point where fans are debating each other to the death over what's canon and is not, which I personally don't like. @@ELedits987 there is though. there’s a camera roll feature for backgrounds that was supposed to come out which is present in the game since the game released but you can’t use yet, as well as a mysterious wall/floor feature, and theres no props and there’s no movie maker feature yet and when you click on them it says it’s “coming soon”, and there was supposed to be a randomiser that is also present in the game just like camera roll but you can’t use yet, that is also stated to be “coming soon” since the game released, there were probably going to be more assets and hair planned. Luni straight up planned for more features within the game and is going to work on another project before he’s delivered them, I definitely get the annoyance, but I do hope he takes care of himself at least. But I seriously hope he doesn’t abandon gacha life 2 before it’s even finished. If there is a hiatus after wonderend releases that’s understandable, but for him to stop updating the game forever would be disappointing.

Game updates take a LONG time As someone who’s tried to program a simple pixel game (and might continue it again) it is difficult to even create a game, let alone make updates. This isn’t just for game developers, it goes for content creators, artists, developers, etc do not pressure them to actively make things for you, it takes time and motivation, and that shit doesn’t spawn from nowhere. Luni has broken many promises, and I relate to that problem. I’ve started not making promises that I know I can’t keep to stop from losing people’s trust, he should do that too. I hate when people spread misinformation, which is sadly very common on the internet. If you want your channel to revolve around rants or educational topics do your research and make sure your script is legible otherwise what’s the point?

He should've been more responsible. He should understand his own limits and not make promises that he can't keep. You can't get mad that people are upset when he very specifically posted dates for when the game and the updates would release. Be should've delayed the release in the first place, held off on announcing the game until it was closer to being finished. Gacha Life 2 is not a finished game. It's missing essential features like props, and there is a severe lack in usable backgrounds. The game is laggy and glitchy. I understand that he's the sole developer but that does not mean he can't hire another programmer to help him finish the game. Gacha life 2 has some great features, the custom poses and the surplus of new assets, but it is not a finished game. In addition you should not be the one addressing the issue, he should be. He should make a post regarding the issue, acknowledging the players, our concerns. This video is just trying to get sympathy for Luni. He made to many big promises that he couldn't keep and now he's facing the consequences.
