PLEASE READ: I am going to post an apology video soon and potentially delete this video. My intention was that of any creator, to be a little click-bait like. My plan was to take you through my journey of emotions when trying this hitch system out for the first time. That journey started out poorly and ended very positively. I, however, miscalculated the insanely high percentage of people that would fail to make it through the video and think that I was bashing Andersen or they bashed me for doing any number of things wrong (mainly latched onto my tow vehicle of choice and were all keyboard tow police). The video had nothing to do with my setup and IF I had a negative experience with this product I would not review such due to my setup being less than ideal. To be clear….this is my second full year using this system and across 2 tow vehicles. We still love this hitch setup and is worth every penny. I still stand by this WDH will tow circles around anything else on the market including the very high dollar ones. The quality is 2nd to none as is the engineering and design. We are going on roughly 10K miles with it now if not more and it is performing as well as one can hope. Such a smooth ride with those bushings that you very rarely even feel the trailer behind you. This is something that no other WDH can accomplish so well.

It's your static image that is the click bait which I really don't even think is needed. I think just an honest review of the hitch is enough. People like me are looking for those honest reviews from users, I would watch the video with or without that click bait image because I want real world experiences covered so I know what I'm potentially buying. Don't sell your integrity with click bait, as a fellow YTer, I always try to stick with the truth and don't try to mislead anyone...if people watch my vids, great, if they don't, that's OK too. I would rather they watch my stuff and subscribe because they know I will always give my honest opinion, not because I'm baiting them. I appreciate the honest review though...stick to your principals.

Recently bought the Andersen WDH as well. I'm towing with a 2020 Ram 2500 6.4 Hemi pulling a Flagstaff 27VRL. Well within weights for for the tow vehicle. It was extremely windy this past weekend and experienced the same thing you did. 15-30 MPH winds and I could feel the truck/trailer being pushed as one. I found that slowing down to 55-60 helped it track a bit better and was easier to control during those hard gusts. Aside from that the system works very well, easy to connect and disconnect. Well worth the money.

@@Berrypancakes229 that's interesting. I've been running the Andersen now for over a year towing all over the place. I've made some adjustments in how it's hooked up. For my truck/trailer combo I found that too much chain tension is a bad thing. It now tows fantastic and I've learned how to drive with it. I don't get any sway, more like the whole truck and trailer get shoved. That's kind of to be expected in high winds while towing a giant sail. Just got back from a 800 mile round trip to the NC mountains. 65-70 mph the whole way, one handed driving, no stress.

Good afternoon! Thank you very much for sharing your experience with this hitch system. I have a new F350 (gas model) that we picked up in June. We have an Outdoors RV 22FQS travel trailer coming in late September or early October. ORVs are notorious for being heavy trailers; ours will be, though somewhat shorter, about 6500lbs empty and has a cargo carrying capacity of approx 3500lbs. So, 10k total. Part of that weight is the 80 gal fresh water tank. Anyways, we will be doing almost exclusively boondocking (national forest and BLM dirt roads and such) in our state of Colorado, as well as the immediate surrounding states to CO. I get a fair amount of 1-2 week blocks of time off and figure we'll just focus on our surrounding area mostly. In about 5 years when I quit working, we'll push out to 1-2 month trips to focus on specific regions in the country on each trip (more highway driving then). So, I am definitely intrigued by this set up. It seems lighter than the friction bar set ups; so easier for my wife to practice hooking up too. I love that there are no grease spots. And, being out west were we can get some large winds, it seems to have good sway control and bump control. I've "heard" there may not be as much weight distribution component to this trailer. However, this trailer is well within the weight limits of our 1 ton truck too; so probably isn't much of a factor. Thank you again! I'll look into this hitch more. Safe travels

campingalan : Just out of curiosity now that you have owned it 11 months; what do you think of the Andersen ?? I have towed numerous RV's over the years and just took delivery of a ODRV 26RKV. 31' long overall & about 8600 - 8800# with gear. I installed an Andersen hitch because I was tired of lifting the other one on previous rigs. I have a 21'- F350 7.3l gas. Just returned from our "shake down" trip. This tt is about 1600+ # heavier than our Jayco. It seems to move around a little more. Not sure if its the hitch or ??? I may not have enough turns on the chains. I used 4 turns. I've heard that I should do 1 or 2 more... Your thoughts.. TNX

I felt the same way (re the trailer/vehicle both moving together as one unit) - I was towing a 6000lb travel trailer on my half ton SUV - got caught in a VERY windy stretch of road. The entire package moved as 1 unit (left/right), but never any particular sway. It's about as good as it can get for sway mitigation.

Had a F350 Diesel and a 8000 lb Holiday Rambler years ago. Had the Arrow Hensley Hitch. Wind still is a factor even with that hitch. It did handle safer. That is about a $3500 dollar hitch. Now have a smaller Truck and camper with the Equalizer 4 point hitch. Noisy but the wind is a cause for slowing down. I have used it on 3 campers.

I have used the Anderson system for 3 years and love it! On my initial set I was like you just slightly tongue high. I ended up adjusting the ball height down 1 bolt hole and found that the slight tongue down was even better. I also added the Roadmaster Active suspension system which made the weight distribution perfect. I have a Rockwood 2608BS, 6700lb dry weight pulled by 2019 Nissan Titan. Now I'm within a 1/2" front to rear fender measurement fully loaded. The best thing about the Roadmaster system is when not loaded with the trailer it doesn't change the ride of the truck at all. The two together makes an awesome towing experience.

I had the roadmaster first with the bar style wdh for 2 seasons. I just switched to this Andersen. What ball height to trailer height difference are you at? I'm at about 1 3/4" ball higher. When hooked up the rear wheel wells are 1 7/8" lower and the front are 1/2" higher. I haven't hit the scales yet but it feels light in the front. The porpoiseing is much better

Yes, you have encountered your first 'high winds driving day' with your rig. You can find youtube vids about 18 wheelers & travel trailers getting blown over on the highways. Always check your phone weather app for estimated wind speeds / directions before you hit the road. Less stress if you know what's going on, maybe even a good excuse to stay put for an extra day.

Your posts really interested me, as I'm considering the Andersen as well. My take-away: A Tundra tow vehicle, 33 ft trailer, heavy winds (w/ gusts), 70 +/- mph travel speed -- what COULD go wrong, espec if there was some kind of traffic incident? One hella wreck. Why not SLOW DOWN and "relax" a bit when towing? Go 70 mph if you want EMPTY, but, the trailer makes a big diff. If nothing else, consider yourself and your family and other travelers on the roads if something causes you to have to brake HARD; you MAY take out a number of people and cause considerable damage. Sorry abt the sway, but, this is TOTALLY driver error and poor judgement, IMO. Y'all Be Safe!
@dwellbig
@dwellbig 3 жыл бұрын
I see where you are coming from but I respectfully agree to disagree just a bit. The problem is that the average speed or flow of traffic on these interstates is approximately 80+mph. Going 70 you already become somewhat of a traffic hazard. Going much less than 70 and you substantially increase your chances of causing a wreck. The question is whether you will get tied up in it or not. So I would agree normally but going much less than 70 in this particular situation has plenty of drawbacks and dangers as well. Also, at no point was this unsafe and at no point could I have been thrown something I couldn’t handle. The speed you travel has nothing to do with that imo. If you are being attentive, defensive, and predictive you could safely travel and tow at any speed in theory. The wind in this instance just made the difference between a smooth drive and one that caused a lot of driver input. If at any point it would have actually been or felt unsafe I would have slowed down substantially, pulled off, etc. Again 70 down to 65 made no difference. I doubt 60 would have….maybe running 55 when everyone else was going 80 would have started to make this more safe?

I have been using this Anderson WDH for the last year and a half. It takes a few trips to get used to it. If I feel sway I pull over and simply tighten up the chains. Best part is it is adjustable depending on your load on rear axle. Some trips we are light and sometimes we have tons of gear in back of the truck. When you get used to the Anderson you can estimate how much weight you need to distribute and tighten the chains accordingly. Overall I highly recommend it.

When we bought our first travel trailer in the early 80's, the dealership offered a RV 101 course. The best advise I got for towing was to never exceed 80% of my tow vehicle's capacities. I now tow a 26ft 6300lb that has a real world tongue weight of around 950lbs. I tow it with a Ram 1500 with 9000lbs towing capacity and 1735 payload capacity. I feel that puts me right in the safety zone with my 4 point sway control WDH. I would never consider towing anything over 28ft with a half ton truck just because of the dynamic sidewind forces that could occur in bad weather, and because of payload capacity limitations. Tundras have a great drive train and very good towing capacity, but not so hot payload capacity. It certainly can move that big travel trailer, but it will fall short in dynanic situations. The Anderson WDH is not designed to overcome payload capacity shortcomings.

Your first comment said it all. Trailer was 1 to 1-1/2" nose high. This is like an airplane catching the wind. Trailers should always be nose down 1 1-1/2". This stops the "lift" effect of air running under the trailer. Andersen, Reese, etc talk about the trailer being level once the weight distribution system is installed. This is incorrect. Reset your hitch to a slight nose down position and try it again. I agree with the the preverbal "tail wagging the dog" where the trailer is more than the truck can handle. This is dangerous, but again, I think your real issue is an improper WDH install.

However, I could not get the trailer to stop swaying. Anything more than 60 mph, bad sway. Going downhill even worse. I tried everything with the Andersen hitch, adjusted height, chain tensions, reload weight, etc. It just would not stop swaying at more than 60 mph or downhills greater than 50 mph. But you catch a 15 mph sustained crosswind with gusts much higher on an open interstate and I guarantee you that you will feel it. The tow rig doesn’t matter at all for that. And lastly maybe I accidentally over exaggerated it a bit. It wasn’t problematic…I wasn’t all over the road…it was just the difference between a smooth drive and a little extra steering wheel input to counter the wind. And I only had amplified it in my mind because I was worried that I had set up the WDH incorrectly. Again that trip home was great and I made some minor adjustments and have made 10 trips since and not a single issue. Many even in wind and barely felt it if at all. Just never a cross wind like that again on an open interstate.

@@dwellbig you said your payload was over weight again to much rv. I’ve been towing an rv for more than 30 years. And I’ve seen very high winds and cross winds just slow down under 50 and you should have no problems. I once had so much wind that when I stopped for gas I could just about open my truck door. Yes I felt some sway so we slowed down and all was ok. Keep an eye on your tongue weight this can cause a lot of sway problems. You can both to much or too little tongue weight and it will cause towing problems. My rule of thumb is keep rv weight less than 70% of your truck’s tow weight.

You need a bigger truck for that trailer. Calculate the payload of the truck, after gear and passengers you won't have enough payload left over. You don't want to exceed your tongue weight even with a WD hitch. This would cause excessive wear on the truck, and easily loose control of the vehicle. You need to take into consideration of the trucks payload capacity, tongue weight, the trailer weight fully loaded and it's tanks full.

A bunch of KZbin certified RV truck drivers. It is also rather interesting the wild assumptions people make and the disinformation that just continues to circulate. Some has been hilarious, some has been downright sad to witness. Like your portion of your comment referencing the f-150 turned over with camper….the writing of it would lead one to assume you have knowledge that they were driving too fast or somehow inexperienced. The actual truth is that you have absolutely no idea what circumstances led up to that, not a single clue…yet you parade it around KZbin like it is the actual truth and use if for some bogus cause. And furthermore I have some sad news for you. This is America and it doesn’t too much matter what you think people should or shouldn’t be able to do. @dwellbig
@dwellbig 3 жыл бұрын
There is only a slight bit of truth in this at best. Being overweight does not somehow shift the fault to you. If you are at fault you are at fault or you aren’t. If someone rear ends you the police and insurance company are not going to say well even though Johnny rear ended you…you were overweight so it’s your fault he rear ended you. The slight bit of truth comes from you could…could possible get a fine if involved in an accident. And IF you are at fault there is a chance insurance could deny your claim but a very small chance. It doesn’t give the other party’s insurance a free pass though if they were at fault. I’m not saying it is a good idea…but this is not an industry where you can make these blanket statements for purposes of fear mongering with no actual knowledge on the topic. Someone makes these bogus tow police claims on some forum and everyone yourself included just continues repeating it without even the least bit of validation. Number two…something you and every other tow police lost sight of on here is I am in no way shape or form recommending someone tow over any number or metric. This is strictly a video showcasing a hitch system and my experience. I simply reference my setup for just that…reference. If I am technically slightly over payload and this system works well for me..it will therefore likely work fabulously for anyone towing in spec. Simple as that.

I have the hitch and I haven't had any real issues other than going over 65 MPH. Travel Trailers are made to be towed at a max speed of 65 MPH and so are the tires. You will never be a fifth Wheel going 75-85 MPH. You will find wind will push you around no matter what the speed. I have had to slow down to 25 mph before. Its not a weigh distribution issue, it is a force issue. Even Fifth wheels have had to pull over due to wind. I have seen Semi trucks rolled over. Keep most of all your packed weight in the rear. I carry with me two propane bottles and you know those are loaded on the front which adds to tongue weight. You should carry 10% of your weight on the tongue of the whole trailer. The more weight on the tongue the more your WDH is in-effective. I also noticed in your intro that you only have 5 threads. I go with 7 threads. However, Just keep in mind, wind will always slow you down. Pay no attention to the cars passing you up in their little 15ft trailers. Drive what you deem comfortable. I get the Middle finger at least twice on a road trip which tells me I am doing the right thing. Let them go around you. I have had the Andersen Hitch for about 4 years now and I am still alive. Slow down when you need to. Its not the perfect fix. It just helps with bounce and sway. You will still get sucked into Semi Trailers and you will still sway if going too fast during even a breeze. That is my experience and I am use to it now. You will get use to it as well. It is a scary experience at times. Just know your own thresh hold. One last thing, Keep at a max speed of 65. The faster you go, the more the tires heat up and one blows, you will damage your trailer. I bought mine used already jacked up on the fender wheels of my trailer. Also, change your tires out every 3-4 years regardless of condition. I have not blown a tire ever. I keep it safe, simple and smart.

There’s a big difference between sway and being buffeted by the wind. I’ve had the Andersen setup for 5 years on a 25ft trailer. The truck and trailer move as one, when a semi goes by I don’t get pulled in. If I’m getting hit with wind sideways I can feel the buffeting but its no different than if I wasn’t towing the trailer. You’re going to feel a 40mph gust no matter what. I’ve made one emergency move with the Andersen, a quick cut over to the shoulder and back to avoid road debris, did it out of habit,after it was over I realized I had the trailer and the Andersen was flawless. The only issue I’ve had with the Andersen (1st generation) was when it got some moisture in it, sounds awful but doesn’t hurt anything, just pull the ball out and dry it out. Latest design should eliminate that issue. Andersen customer service has been outstanding. After 5 years they provided an upgrade to the latest design for a reasonable discounted price.

Tundra did have anti-sway I literally addressed it in the video as a potential concern since Andersen suggests you turn off that anti-sway to avoid the two systems interfering with each other. The hitch was worth it but did nothing to save me. Who’s rule is 80%? Yours? Someone else’s on the internet? I don’t necessarily even disagree it just gets tiring seeing these same points regurgitated across the internet with no necessary rhyme or reason. Just because some talking head said it somewhere at some point and we just keep spewing them as facts. Some say as low as 50%. Now I guess I know why I have seen 3/4 tons pulling pop ups. Lastly where I was I just couldn’t tell how windy it was. I had a newly setup hitch, I was trying to test it out to its full capability (ie at speed). When I started perceiving sway I automatically jumped to something being setup wrong. Just didn’t realize it was only wind buffeting. Yes…in wind you slow down wdh or not. The hitch has been great, went on to cover probably 6K miles with that setup and since have a new truck with the same wdh. Can’t say it’s the best on the market as I haven’t tried them all, but not sure what could be better.

Poor truck choice and ignoring the factory advice to disengage the trucks sway control is very irresponsible. Please notice how many people with medium duty trucks are adding comments. Your truck is a light duty truck with a smaller frame setup. If you had drove without windy conditions first you wouldn't have thought anything was wrong! But luckily you recognized there was an issue. Driving a rig is a big responsibility! Not just for you and your passengers but also everyone on the same roads your using. I would recommend to anyone without towing experience, have their WDH installed by a professional and learn to drive safely. A tundra is right in line with most f-150s and 1500 GMs. Secondly having a “professional” setup a WDH is absolutely laughable. Exactly who might that be? A “professional” at camping world or any number of dealerships with inexperienced service techs? And lastly there still wasn’t anything wrong as I clearly mentioned. Went on to cover 4K miles the rest of the season in some of the most extreme towing conditions in the US with minimal adjustments to the setup. As I very clearly mentioned this was purely due to wind and I only noticed such after seeing a tractor trailer being thrown around on the road. I guess he was inexperienced with a bad setup too…. You state your experience as towing without a WDH. Your truck is not a medium duty truck. It has TOY in its name. You do not mention any prior experience towing with a WDH. Also to add the decision to not turn off the trucks sway control was a calculated decision after having conversations with corporate Toyota. I learned exactly how their system works and all that research came after learning that Toyota does not allow you to turn off only the TSC. Turning it off turns off basically every other safety system (stability and traction control to name a few). Would I suggest anyone else not turn theirs off…no…but this was not just negligence or overlooking something this was a very calculated decision. And again went on to tow over 4K miles with the setup in all kinds of conditions without a single issue and the trucks TSC turned on the entire time. I believe I may have even contacted Andersen at the time. In short, know your facts before hopping on and becoming a certified YT keyboard warrior tow police.

First, nice hat! I have the same one. And as far as this hitch.. I am having sway issues... I bought it last year, I contacted anderson to make sure it was going to work for my truck trailer, I have a 2500 HD with a towing ability of 13000 lbs. Last year I set it up as instructed, and it worked perfectly. This year, I just replaced my wheels and tires, the tires are 12 ply and plenty strong for the weight they are carrying, and about the same size as the old ones. They might be an inch different in diameter, but its hard to do an exact measurement since I didn't think of measuring unloaded. I just measured with the old tires laying on the ground and the new tires on the truck. But I just did a 2 hour trip, and it was almost white knuckle the whole time. When we were close to home, I took my left hand off the wheel and it was cramped... lol I did a 2 hour trip last year and it was great.. So either my new tires messed with it that much, and I will do another setup and make sure my ball is at the right height, but eyeballing it, it all looked level, the trailer was level, and the truck looked good too. So either the anderson hitch only worked for a couple trips.. or my setup is bad.. but i need to get this fixed soon. My trailer is advertised as 9000lbs dry and 900lb hitch weight. Its 36 ft long. Probably should have bought a fifth wheel, but didn't have the truck when we bought the camper and we were looking at 3/4 ton suburbans first. Then got a deal on the truck.. Loaded my truck is heavier, I got the CAT scale numbers and everything was under payload and towing capacities..
@dwellbig
@dwellbig 3 жыл бұрын
@@foxrace0985 Any chance the weight distribution in the trailer has changed? You added more weight in the rear or removed weight from the front? It wouldn’t have to be crazy drastic. The golden rule is 10-15% of the weight on the tongue. Even the best WD can not really compensate for an improperly loaded trailer. In theory…in calm wind conditions you should be able to tow that trailer with that truck and no WD and not get sway. I can’t imagine the tire change would affect the setup at all. The last option I have is that somehow the bushing inside the hitch went bad and is not applying any or as much friction as it is supposed to to prevent the sway. If the tires are slightly bigger you may want to try just tightening the nuts on the WD chains…the physics would almost like raising the tongue jack slightly, it would loosen the chains. So if you did 4 turns last year…maybe do 5 or 6 turns now?

@@dwellbig I'm not sure. I packed everything about the same as last year. I was going to go through the anderson set up and make sure all the measurements were still good, but we just got back today from 4th of july and I noticed how bad it was. Last year I turned the nuts so I could see 8 full threads. I tried 10 on the way home and it didn't help after the drive there on 8 threads was not good. I haven't had time to diagnose anything since it happened today. I'm wondering about the bushing in the hitch, but if it only lasts one season of camping, thats not great either. I need to do the anderson setup again and then go to a cat scale and see if anything is different somehow.. those are my best guesses.

Doesn't that trailer has a GVWR over your max towing capacity? I feel like it's around 9500-9700 lbs. The dry weight you mention is without batteries, propane, food, water, clothes, dishes, towels, sheets, etc. Most people tow their trailers pretty close to the GVWR in reality, with many over it. Most guidelines say you shouldn't tow more than 80% of your capacity. We tow 7700 lbs with our 2500 and this same hitch. 13,000 miles of towing and never had any sway, it's the best hitch setup ever.

I am so sorry you are not able to admit your wrong. Since you won't accept my criticism please do more research on safe and proper use of a weight distribution hitch. Your safety and the safety of others is more important then your pride.

Ah yes…however will my pride recover from someone on the internet calling my truck an insufficient truck because it has “TOY” in its make name. I have a sneaking suspicion you are one than has never been told no or certainly doesn’t take it very well when you have been. You have a Texas sized ego but one of the most fragile I have ever seen and based on absolutely nothing. I truly do wonder though (and strictly because you are not troll) how good this has made you feel. See a troll I generally ignore as it is someone out for fun and attention seeking which to each their own. You on the other hand I misinterpreted as a troll but you are far from a troll. You are a genuine narcissist, pompous, weak little man who thinks he is Gods gift to the internet, earth, and apparently to the towing world. I bet you are a pleasure to be around at parties. At the end of the day you can fool some of the people some of the time….but I see you for exactly who you are. What is really most intriguing to me is how much you think I care or how it is my pride in the way. The reality is I am towing with what I have and making the best out of it. I am not saying the tundra is some kind of ultimate tow rig….but it is the tow rig I have. I have a travel trailer that while yes is pushing the limits of the tundra is still inherently safe with a few modifications and precautions such as using this wdh in the first place. And I am fully cognizant of all the numbers and implications associated and am very calculated about everything. I posted this because there is a huge number of people in my exact position that are trying to safely use what they have and make the best out of it. We do not go out and buy a 1 ton dually to haul a pop up….we work with what we have. Lastly, there are extremes where I can hop on and join the tow police….but it is still in the way you handle it. I would never tell someone their truck isn’t sufficient because of the badge on the front….I would actually intelligently present them the numbers and try to guide them respectfully to safer towing. People like you and your tactics however are doing a disservice to that because either get very confused or they start to tune any of it out even the ones actually trying to give constructive criticism.

Mike! I’m coming back to comment again, but this time I have to agree with what he’s saying here on his video. We’ve been using the Anderson and have done everything right. Have a 150 eco boost ford max tow package and tow Rockwood mini trailer 25 ft weight is 6000 pounds. It sways a lot on the freeway with winds and not that high. We did all the adjustments. No stability. We had a lance trailer and had more stability with the e2 hitch.

If you cant load your trailer correctly then you shouldn't be pulling one. This hitch encourages lack of knowledge and inexperience

What? This has literally nothing at all to do with the weight distribution or ratio on the trailer…..and this hitch encourages nothing. It is simply one of the best engineered and performing weight distribution systems out there. This video on the other hand may encourage people to comment with lack of knowledge or experience….but hate to tell you…the hitch system encourages nothing. More humorously we are talking about a WDH….to even be here looking at WDHs one would have to be much more knowledgeable and experienced than most…. So very confusing comment but I appreciate the attempt to tear me and/or the hitch down. Kudos.

How can this possibly distribute the weight without bars whole thing looks like an expensive scam.

If you do FBD on the design you'll see where the forces are and how the moment (torque) is created. But yes, one of my issues with the system is the high reaction force (counteracting the high chain force) pushing the ball back into the coupler. Anderson says "high into" or to the top corner of the socket, but really, if you do the force vector, the forces are almost straight back, unfortunately unto the latch. So really the chains are pulling the trailer, the ball never goes to the front of the socket (like it obviously does when pulling a trailer without a WDH). I don't really like it, (that high force on the latch), but it does work. And yes I now use a little grease, since there is up and down movement of ball vs socket. Setup is super easy, pre hookup I measure the height of something on the front the vehicle, put the trailer on and snug the acme nuts until I am back to that same height. Verify on a scale: My TV front wheel weight ~ equal to my TV rear wheel weight.

Stated by the owner who claimed that he knew he was towing a trailer that was over the limits of his Tundra. It should be against the law to purchase a trailer that cannot be safely towed by the vehicle they bring to take it home. If you were as knowledgeable as you claim, you would not have posted a video that documented your stupidity.

@@twbucksr303 Do you know how KZbin works? The person you were responding to was not even the person who posted this video. I am. And I let the original comment go because I tend to ignore trolls but I have a really hard time letting arrogant assholes go. To be very very clear and say it very very slowly for those in the back or with learning disabilities: There is nothing unsafe about this setup. Let me repeat….nothing (meaning not a thing) unsafe (meaning it’s not going to kill innocent children going down the road)….about this setup (meaning this truck trailer and wdh combo). Would I recommend this exact setup to someone who has never towed anything before…no…but I wouldn’t recommend any setup to said person. Safely towing has at best 50% to do with your equipment and the rest to do with the driver. The jackass running a sedan on bald tires in the rain I can assure you is a much larger threat than myself driving this setup can ever be. People love to hop up on some damn high horse and play tow police from behind the comfort and safety of their keyboard. And in case you are really interested…I posted the honest truth with numbers because number 1 I could care less what you or anyone else thinks…but more importantly if this wdh can help out this accident prone, deadly, unsafe, killing innocent people setup then it can surely help the average person out who is towing safely at less than 25% of their towing and payload numbers (as is the only way to be safe).

Great video. I went to buy a Tundra and found out it had the lowest tow/haul capabilities so I passed and bought a F150 with 2k haul and 14k tow capabilities. The RV we're looking at weighs 6300 lbs so I think it'll tow it. We'll use the Andersen Hitch as well.
