73 year old here, late to the Anderson.Paak/Free Nationals appreciation society, all, yes, through that 2021 collab with Bruno Mars 'Leave the Door Open' (like so many others!). Why have I not heard of him before? He is an amazing talent and seems to exude charm, charisma and energy and comes across as a very likeable bloke too. If you haven't already seen it, watch him (and the brilliant Free Nationals) in his Grubhub Soundbite session. You won't be disappointed!

I'm only a couple of years behind you Keith & loving some of the music coming from America these days. Nice to see Jools getting decent funk/soul/fusion on the show. As he's also had Thundercat on, it shouldn't be too much of a stretch to add the likes of Louis Cole/Knower & especially Snarky Puppy to his guest list. I find it quite absurd that the pups have never been on UK tv. Get it sorted someone!!

I'm an old hippie, 66, but we know funk when we hear it and this is funky man. Reminds me of really early James Brown. Love that Hammond sound.

I really enjoyed the old school funk / fusion vibe from Paak & Co on the show, as someone who still occasionally listens to the golden oldies from the likes of Mayfield, the Isley Brothers Liston Smith, etc. More so with the other track they performed, but this was cool too. i think Paak's own enjoyment and energy was half the pleasure in itself. It was also great to see actual musicians playing instruments and hope it influences more youngsters to learn to play ! I thought Paak was impressive and loooved his energy and broad grin.

it's only right to see .Paak performing Am I Wrong on Jools..cuz this tune's got a really heavy Jamiroquai vibe. he and Jay Kay gotta get together and birth a really groovy track together..if not a whole album. i also wanna hear Bruno Mars doing this type of vibe..maybe on his next solo LP..or the next Silk Sonic album.
