This was a great redemption for Anderson seeing him break down crying was when he put two and two together that on his Earth Superman is a family man too. He thought that he was protecting the world because he assumed the worst in Superman but in reality, he took one family's father from them. Which made him understand why Superman was at arm's length from him he was just trying to keep his family safe from the public spotlight. So that the wrong people couldn't harm them it wasn't about a lack of loyalty to the United States he was just being a good father and husband.

That's one of the best things about Superman as a person. Even when someone has wronged him or been an enemy, Superman tries to see the best in people rather than just believe in the worst side of people. Despite all the bad things Anderson did, it's nice of him to finally admit that Superman was right.

That’s exactly why super man is a fictitious character. In real like such a character trait can lead to death for some. Ask a member of the armed forces to think like Superman and he will get his whole squad killed, then again, Superman can defy gravity and flies around the world in underwear and bullets bounce off his chest.

It's kind of an assumption in the military that duty to country comes first. It's not like their policy is that families don't matter, but soldiers are sent into danger and their families have to wait and hope they come back alive. Soldiers are assigned to new posts and their families have no say in the decision. They're sometimes given secret orders they can't tell their loved ones about. Sam Lane's difficult relationship with his daughters came from putting his duty to the service ahead of his duty to them too often. So I can see why a military man might not consider that.
@daniels7907
@daniels7907 2 жыл бұрын
@@danieldickson8591 - Except that Superman is not military personnel, he's a civilian. Indeed, that Superman isn't in the military, and thus subject to the chain of command, was one of the biggest problems that Anderson had with him and why he tried to create his "Supermen of America" who would count as enlisted (but more realistically conscripted) personnel subject to his orders. But the fact that Superman is a civvie (and, technically, an illegal alien) would have left Anderson wondering what he does and where he goes when he's not superheroing. Given Superman's unlimited mobility, Anderson had no proof that he even actually lived in U.S. territory.

So, there seems to be some sort of time dilation between the worlds. Superman has been gone a month in the regular world, but the events when he arrives in bizarro world seem to take less than a day. @@lone-wolfgamer2259 Yeah, I’m curious if the time dilation occurs within the portal or if time passes differently/more quickly in the bizarro world. We know Superman has been gone for a month. So that’s portal time + time in the bizarro world because Jon-El shows up in the regular world in the episode where Superman has been gone for a month. But it seems like Jon-El’s journey through the portal didn’t take a month. Or it could still take a long time, like ~15 days either way. So Superman’s journey into the portal and out of the portal is a month ish. Idk. It reminds me of the Smallville episode where Clark and Oliver go to the Phantom Zone for a day, but in the real world they are gone for 3 weeks.

It's not nearly as ricdiculous as Shazam/Captain Marvel's suit in the first Shazam movie but it is quite noticable that isn't his actual body considering how smaller he looks as Clark.

How come superman still has his power under the red sun?
@mikerosoft2179

the intensity of the the specific red sun radiation is less than those red sun chambers presumably. also, bizarro still had his powers in the normal world despite the yellow sun so it makes sense for the same to be true for supes in the inverse world.

It was weakening him, that's probably why he didn't use any powers like ice breath or heat vision during the fights.

I never thought Anderson didn't anything wrong. He was working with the information he had. The only thing he did wrong was go away. Yet he only went away was because he is dealing with Superman. I don't blame Superman for keeping his secret but the man forgets just how much the governments in the world fear him. Anderson lost 2 super kids and let's be honest here, if Anderson didn't put them out there, someone else would have. Superman gotta learn to start making friends on the planet if he plans on staying on as a hero. Edited: I said the only thing Anderson did wrong was go AWOL. Idk if anybody else has had this problem but it's like KZbin changes what I wrote sometimes

His superiors told him multiple times to not antagonize Superman and this man was committed to asserting his dominance as the new top dog after Lane retired. It blew back in his face and he should have just apologized after the first mishap and moved on. He was entirely in the wrong by escalating the situation

@@RavenPendragon14 First he is the top dog. He the new General of the D.O.D. While it's true they wanted a closer relationship with Superman, they wanted him to be associated with America first. Re watch the episode where Superman save a NK submarine. You will hear Anderson speak about his superiors want Superman to hand that sub over to America. Superman told Anderson he couldn't do that, cause that go against Superman's rule about interfering with Human politics. Superman was out of pocket about not telling him about Bizarro Superman. Bizzarro attacked American soil. Superman had information on that. So yea Anderson did what he did. The only thing Anderson did wrong was go awol.

@@RavenPendragon14 At the same time they are using Superman's symbol, they are once again trying to claim Superman as a American entity first. Superman warned Anderson and the government as a whole about using his signal. Which directly lead to those 2 kids getting killed. The relationship between Superman and America has always been a dicey one. You even see examples of this on the Supergirl show when John talks with Kara briefly about D.O.D. strained relationship with Superman.

@@RavenPendragon14 Mostly everything Anderson did was by the book. Everything he did was approved until that last action. Form the Super team: Approved Banning Superman: Approved(though his CO didn't like it) Arresting Superman: We literally see him call his CO for permission first. It was a 💩 show all around.
