Beyond excited. TOM SCHOLZ: If you see this, please do at least one interview, Rick Beato would be perfect, because the guitar community is full of myths about your recording techniques, ROCKMAN products, and of course the Hyperspace pedal. There are many on the edge of their seat, please tell us some of that history before it is too late.

The Boston sound used by ZZ Top, Def Leppard, Journey, to name a few with the Rockman sound. Even Jeff Beck sent in a warranty card for a Rockman as per Tom Scholz. Many of the 80s groups used a Rockman at some point. This pedal is a definite winner.

Hi Captain and Pete 🤘🎸✌️ I think it's a Great Idea from MXR absolutely. I would recommend to make it Stereo with 2 normal guitar cables instead of this system that requires a Y Adapter. Also They must make the chorus switchable and the Stereo Scholz Echo, Delay included with a dedicated on off switch for the Distortion, Chorus and Echo 🤘🎸

Rebel Rebel isn't a Mick Ronson riff, it was written and recorded after he left the Bowie band. Alan Parker (Blue Mink member and prolific though often uncredited session player) probably played it.

@philwildcroft17648 күн бұрын
@@SwingingCreeper Alan Parker has the credit for guitar on 1984 and he may have played the electric part on Rebel Rebel (it's a heated debate). But it definitely wasn't Mick Ronson, so it's not a great choice for demonstrating his wah tone.

thanks for the info! From wikipedia: Originally planned in late 1973 as part of an aborted Ziggy Stardust musical,[6] "Rebel Rebel" was Bowie's last single in his signature glam rock style.[7][8] It was also his first hit since 1969 not to feature lead guitarist Mick Ronson; Bowie played guitar himself on this and almost all the other tracks on Diamond Dogs. In the studio, Bowie informed guest guitarist Alan Parker that he wanted it to "sound like the Stones", before he picked up Parker's black Les Paul and played it to them. Parker then completed it, before the rest of the backing track was recorded. [14] Parker was upset upon learning he was uncredited on the final version. He stated: "I can tell my own playing, and my own sound, and I know it's me." Flowers further recalled: "David played the riff to Alan, Alan made sure it was good enough to record, then [Alan] played it."

The chip is not available, but more importantly the echo absolutely sucked. I’m today’s world if you’re plugging this direct like it’s meant to be used you’ve got probably got a dozen echos that you already really love to add to this.
@riffmondo973310 күн бұрын
Rockman needs the echo feature. Not the same without it. Integral to the sound.
@lostinpa-dadenduro755510 күн бұрын
I hear you. They said the original chips were out of production. They considered using a replacement but were concerned it would mess with the fundamental sound. In any case, there are a lot of awesome echos and delays out these days. The Keely HALO has a Tom Scholz mode that Andy Timmons had them put in based on the Scholz rack unit.

100% the sound of the band Boston, Tom Scholz friggin INVENTED the Rockman effects, very specific to the sound of Boston. Geezus guys, just listen to "More Than a Feeling" by Boston. You'll understand. It was how he found THAT sound, even though he made the effects AFTER that first album. Wanted to recreate that sound. That's as about close as you'd get to the 80's distorted sound before Van Halen came around. To put it in relative terms, it's what the dual rectifier mesa boogie was compared to the 80s marshall sound.
