It would be great if Dave, (and one other such as Rabea or Pete,) could take over the Sounds Like series properly. Would love to see him going round the shop, choosing the gear etc. Dave would be really good at closing out the best bits of cheaper gear.

Loved the "Sounds like" Series, but this new version is a lot more satisfying because it shows the entire process of how the pedals are picked i order to sound like the intended guitarist. Also, Dave is very good, loved the Frusciante video.

Mayer geek here! He mostly used the Bluesbreaker to boost into the tubescreamer, like how he used the blues driver and usually uses a Klon. I was looking forward to seeing the Bluesman in action for this purpose. Enjoyable video nonetheless!

Love this series! this is the stuff that really helps folks in choosing and trying gear, and of course the fab Dave Simpson is the man for the job! I would like to see a lot more vids with the psychosomatic drive, it by far makes the most difference for every tone. Too bad its such a hard pedal to find, more rare than the Centaur even, but if the opportunity ever came up again i would definitely donate to the cause , and send you my money for one. Sounding like John Mayer is difficult. He has a pretty generic Strat tone. The sparkle is all in his actual playing, rather than the sound itself, I think. Having said that, Dave does a fantastic job!

Why don’t you sell these effects as a box set? Maybe as seen on the eg.‘John Mayer on a budget’ video with a little incentive tshirt/set of strings? Add a little booklet of settings for various tones and versatility if someone wants to try another artist’s tone?

We've all been Dave at some point in our musical journey. Showing up at a gig not having learned the full song and responding to the same old question "did you learn the song" by playing the intro of it and then saying "that's all". If you haven't done that yet, trust me, if you're in a band as a hobby, you will.
