Received my ML2 Pro in Azure Blue today. Wow, what a beautiful guitar. Well done team Chapman. The neck is beautiful but more flat than I expected. I have the ML3 Bea Standard Mensis and with one of the best necks I've ever played and I thought they'd be more similar. But hey, the ML2 Pro neck felt good right away. Plays really fast, bends like a dream with 10s.

The Duncan Pegasus was designed for Prog Metal.The output as ol' Seymour himself will tell you is not totally determined by a meter will not guarantee that the level is not more or even less than. In this case the Pegasus is much louder than my PAF's. It also has a lot of sustain and fat yet tight.

I find that output matters the most when recording into DI, it's a bit harder to get the output level right on a really hot guitar sometimes... at least for me, probably because I suck LOL I have a Synyster Gates custom S that's quite difficult because even at the lowest volume, it almost peaks, it's so stupidly high output.

Hi Alan, hope you don’t mind us answering this. It’s a real shame that you’ve heard this. Very disappointing to be honest. Basically we’re a little different to other brands who use a distributor who would normally do the QC and set up, we sell direct to retailer (to keep costs down and get more money for the retailer) so they’re responsible for that. If you’re hearing any things about bad QC it means that the retailer isn’t checking. If you like more info on this, please feel free to email us support@chapmanguitars.co.uk , thanks Dan

@@thomasgheorghica2187 hi, hope you don’t mind the reply. There should absolutely be QC and set up done by the retailer. So if you’ve heard that from Thomann it’s a little misleading as that’s what they’ve said they’d do. Thanks Dan

@@thomasgheorghica2187 great news. Thanks. Glad to hear it. I have one of 'em. Lookwise I like 'em better, especially the unpainted neck-thru body construction, but for me the Pick-Ups were always a little bit to thin-sounding. Very much output on high-end, but there is not that much of a low end "socket" and warmth given, which may also be because of the thin and heavy-chambered body. I haven't tried it yet, but maybe the Seymour Duncans have a little bit more of that.

Sorry to say I'm very underwhelmed with the whole range. The ML2 is obviously a PRS single cut rip off, I have the Starla, with such a drab look to it. Several months considering pickup surrounds!
@killianlpc2 жыл бұрын
Agree. The colours of new ML-2 Pro far too similar, the headstock hardly original just looks like off a Washburn Parallaxe. The old ML-2 Pro looked better aesthetically to be honest. No doubt they play and sound well, but for 1K mark much better offerings from Ibanez, PRS, ESP/LTD
@chrisjeneson37632 жыл бұрын
@Mark Seymour I agree it has the looks of a Les Paul but it plays nothing like it, the Starla I mean and the sound is very different as well.
@chrisjeneson37632 жыл бұрын
@Mark Seymour no, I am saying that although the Starla looks similar to a Les Paul, it plays nothing like one. I have already forgotten about the Chapman thing, not my thing at all.
@chrisjeneson37632 жыл бұрын
@Mark Seymour in your first comment back to me you suggested that the PRS was a Les Paul rip off. I agreed that the shape was similar but the two guitars played very differently. Otherwise, I said that the Chapman was not my thing, especially the headstock which looks like a PRS rip off. So, to be clear, I don't like the Chapman, I think it has a ripped off headstock shape, I own a Starla, it doesn't play like a Les Paul of which I own 2 so I have an informed opinion. Is that clear enough now?
@chrisjeneson37632 жыл бұрын
@Mark Seymour as a final attempt to clear this matter up, and I am looking at my original comment as I write this, so follow if you can. 1 I said that the ML2 looked like a prs single cut rip off, the headstock is pure PRS except for the modified end. I then said inside commas that I own a PRS Starla, one of their single cut guitars inferring that I know what I am talking about. 2 I said nothing about the ML2 playing like a PRS, I said the PRS plays nothing like a Les Paul. 3 you suggested the PRS was a rip off of a Les Paul. 4 I think that it could be viewed as such except for the completely different headstock and the much thinner body. 5 the ML2 has the look of the PRS including the headstock basic shape. 6 I couldn't care less about the ML2, I don't like the look of it or the sounds. I would never buy one and I wouldn't want one for free. 7 if I wanted a PRS rip off then I would buy a Harley Benton and save a lot of money. 8 I hope that clears up any and all misunderstandings on your behalf.
