Brilliant video!!! Great production!!! Good job displaying the differences in shell construction also. The studio and the stadium recipes do it for me. I like the explosive sound and quick decay of a thicker shell. Especially as a metal player.

The studio or urban kit was prolly my favorite in this video but I liked different parts of each kit, not one kit stood out in this video but I have a tama starclassic BB hyperdrive kit and wouldn’t trade that in for any kit in the world. I’m so content and happy with my starclassic kit and I’m a tama guy but I like seeing what other companies are bringing to the table and maybe purchase a third kit alongside my tama starclassic and tama silverstar.

The Snare at 8:18 makes a weird low end noise. Whats that?

Sounds a lot like sympathetic ring from the floor tom tbh. So the frequency of the snare "activates" the skins of the floor tom a bit. Just like the other way around you often have the snare wires buzzing when playing the toms.

Looked up the spec...Gumwood sounds better than I would have expected. Reinforcement rings sound even worse than I remembered.

Every snare drum in this video has a very dissonant sound when it's decaying. It's like hearing it gated, but with two different freqs. This vid kind of shows why I don't love Pearl drums anymore, they're like a PRS. They all sound good, but they all sound exactly the same.
