I can get a better sound with a kids basic electrical midi kit, simply by plugging into EZDrummer 3. People don't bother...£7000 will get DW's 6 piece flagship model or two 5 piece Yamaha maple kits.

Any progress on brush sound with the new module and digital snare? My td-17 is great for 90% of local drumming demands but the snare/brush sample sucks and no swishing across the head.

they all sounded the same . exactly the same . Could not use one as my main snare drum . They sound good . Im not funky enough to use one . Look the guy on the demo should have cranked the heads to tight tention . but did not . the aluminium snare GOTTA be pitched high or it will sound booring . Just like on this video .

Hi all, can you help with these three questions pls? 1. Can I run SD3 through a TM6 pro which as you know is a one-shot trigger module as in no VDrum type dynamics or would I need to get another VDrum module to get the dynamic range? All my pads are VDrum but it is incapable of dynamic range through TM6 pro 2. For EDM sounds which is better SD3 or EZ D 3? Which of these programs would be best for live use as in the easiest? Thanks all 🙏🙏

Brand new Roland V-Drums flagship kit, Michael Schack and his trusty SPD-SX. It was impossible not to click. Great review and fantastic drumming (as always)! Loved the rapid flow between the review aspects and the performance. Thank you Andertons team for bringing Mr. Schack in for this video. It was a great show.

The best aluminium snare in my experience is the Beverley (Premier 35). In fact I sold my Supra and my Starphonic... Here I choose the Tama s.l.p. The Yamaha, not shown, is great as well.

It was a hand hammered ride not a AA ride.

Vinny Paul has huge drums. I believe his first rack tom was 14x14 second was 15x15 and then his floor tom was 18x18. His kick drums were 24x24. He's the Kevlar head on his snare drum pearl eliminator pedals. Of course all this is back when he was playing with Pantera and was endorsed by Pearl. But his sizes have always been huge.

I hate when two drummers play together and just play the exact same beat. Hit the toms while the other guy just does kick and snare.

You guys need to include noise factor examples. A huge aspect to buying an electric kit is how loud it’ll be physically.

Two things: 1) Get the Nitro Pro XL version that comes with a 4th tom and another cymbal. 2) Home it up with Steven Slate drum sounds and just cooking grin at what you have for just over $800.

Couldn't get a hi hat or cymbal sounds as good as this when I demo'd a TD 17 the other day. The maker's of electronic drums still haven't got hat's and cymbals right on their products 🤷.

I mean, yeah it’s not high end e kit, doesn’t have the flash name like Roland or Yamaha, but for the price point, it’s a pretty decent set. Don’t hate on its just because it doesn’t cost a grand or more. I have one and I enjoy playing it. I’m not a beginner. Nor am I a professional. I played an acoustic kit for a while back about 25 years ago. Got married etc. etc. and have started to resurrect the drummer within. If you want a higher end one, then go get one. But don’t knock a kit like this just because it’s not certain brand or price. Yeah, it has its pros and cons. But nothing that should keep a person from getting one if they so choose so.

I’ve never had as much fun as this guy playing drums. So, why is it when I hear other people playing this kit it has the same shitty Roland sounds as they’ve had forever, and the same horrible machine gunning as all other ekits, but when this guys plays it doesn’t? What gives…? 🤷‍♂️
