The pxs7000 is a beautiful instrument with incredible sounds and capability. I truly hope this is durable also.

Having had a casio calculator in school, it always fascinates me how they also make musical instruments.

I'd like some help understanding the new keyboards in this line. I'm a visually impaired keyboardist, and I love, love, LOVE the sounds here. They are simply smashing, but Can I use the interface? How reliant on the touchscreen is this keyboard? If I can't use it, it's just not that valuable to me. I'd prefer insight from a source that uses the keyboard regularly. How essential is the touchscreen to the operation of the keyboard and its functions? Thanks very much for any answers I get on this.

I don't own one yet but I plan on getting one soon. From what I saw so far you can use the scrolling wheel to switch sounds for it. However fast accessing piano/epiano/msc. sounds requires you to use the touchpad. Same for recording or function keys you have to use the touchpad. And if you want to use the effects or overall functions that the piano posseses you also have to see the screen or have someone read it to you. Hope I could help with my limited knowledge.

Wow, I love the sound for song feature of the presets. Great marketing tool and learning tool. I also like the assignable controls. This might be my new home piano plus occasional gig machine.

Thanks for the video! I just got this keyboard and have a question about the tuning . Out of the box, the tuning was off by a whole step so whenever I played a C it was actually a D . I thought I messed something up when pressing different buttons, but I did a factory reset and this continued . Also, the sound of the notes were bending without using the bending wheel I’m looking for any insight to this Much appreciated!

the 6000 and 7000 should have been combined into 1 unit. I'll wait for the 8000. stick some sliders and knobs it too. or just do a new px5s with the space for 999 stage settings and stick your new patches from the 7000 in it.

Umm Korg did this for the Kronos 2 and in their SV 2 I believe and they kind of did this with the M3 in one of those later release libraries. 😆

You might hate me for this but I would buy this honestly but cover up the the CASIO logo on the back. People would believe me if I said it’s a Roland or a yAmaha. I grew up in the 70s n 80s when Casio was a calculator and toy keyboard brand. Sorry but it’s hard to rub that off. Brilliant board this though!

I know what you mean, and it's a shame, but so would I. Which means I'm probably the same vintage, (or probably older 😧) as you..... They did try to rebrand their synths in the - what - Eighties, with the name (Tomita came up with this one), COSMO ! Yeah......that went well. I recall that in the late 70's/ early 80's, you could get a sticker to go on the back of your Casio, saying "Very Expensive OBERHEIM" 'Course, Oberheim went down the tubes and Casio are still going, so what do we know ?

Pity they don't sell the 7000 without the stand. If you're going to put this nice slim piano on your desk or table you simply don't need a stand. Paying for a posh stand you don't need will put people off it. Or they should have a 6500 I e. A 6000 with all the sounds of the 7000
