Tony, it's always a pleasure to hear you play. You match song to instrument voice very well.

Always wait for Tony’s reviews as he is a PHENOMENAL player and presenter. Very impressed with Casio’s new Privia and the piano sounds. Looks fantastic as well. I’m really liking how these manufacturers are starting to incorporate a microphone input as it is so convenient for players who are also vocalist. Well done!!!

I love the Privia line. My only gripe is I wish they would design a Privia that really devotes all of the ROM space specifically to pianos/EPs with longer samples & only a limited aux selection (e.g., 3 basses, 3 strings, 3 pads, 2 synth brass, 3 organs, choir, celeste, & glockenspiel.). The space occupied by 370 tones that most consumers will never use is a waste IMHO & seem more at home in their entry level or workstation offerings. I also wish Casio would make effects selectable from the panel so that the same samples aren't repeated ad nauseam with different fx-variations of the same sample set should be handled with a 'variation' button (similar but a more advanced interface than the CT-S1's) or via registration memory.

Agree, 50-60 sounds with longer and more detailed samples...

It's obvious that Casio tries not to compete with its other products and holds the price down. The piano sounds are far superior to the Privia 560 which would really be a winner. My point is having standard midi out is hard to do without. It is amazing what Casio has done regarding the piano sound. I have a Modx8 which has no piano sound comparable to the grand piano sound of even the Px3000.

Tony, I do have a question for you. First, I really enjoy listening to your information about what Bonner's is carrying. Unfortunately, living on the West Coast of the U.S., it's unlikely I'll ever be buying anything from Bonners, but I still look to you for information on the stuff I am interested in. One of the hardest things, at least for me, is to determine what this will sound like in a home environment. I am sure that, as with most everything you demo, you've taken the line out, or the headphone jack output and run it into the input of your mixer or video camera. That is great for getting a good feel of the quality of the sounds, but does nothing to demo the actual sound of what it's going to be like through the built in speakers. I doubt that most people are going to invest in another, say $750 for a KRK Rokit RP-5 and subwoofer system to fully hear what the sound can be like. So, what I want to know, short of trying to find a place near me that has these in stock and trying to demo them, is what does the onboard speakers sound like? Is it possible in future videos to dedicate a segment of the demo to the actual on-board speakers and how they might sound in the home, or on the stage, or wherever the instrument is designed to be used (with speakers)? Thanks in advance.

Tony, you are doing the best reviews… even too good. I was going to choose the Yamaha CLP 745, but because of the modern design fo the PX S7000, I’m changing my mind. I know that are two different instruments, but should I be disappointed by the keyboard touch keys or grand piano sound with the Casio?
@hamedsanborn1502 жыл бұрын
Go with classic style of CLP. It also has more authentic sound and high quilty voices.Casio has always been under 500$ manufacturer. Kawai & Yamaha are unmatched if you looking for real music.

How do you control the layer balance/volume while performing? with expression pedal? pitch bend wheel? Impossible? For example: How do you blend in the strings as needed (volume wise) during the song?

Are the black keys lighter than the white keys? Does the stand have included speakers? Or do you need external speakers to make it sound like it does in the video?

I just played one and it felt great. It's a completely new action, with hybrid wood and plastic keys, it's really quiet (no thudding), the key surfaces are much nicer. I was impressed - I'm a classical player, but I'm sure it would suit all sorts.

I really think it comes down to one's hands and playing style. Not everyone plays classical music. For example one might need a little lighter touch when playing synths.

How would the Casio compare to the Yamaha P-515?
@antonioperillo11822 жыл бұрын
Hallo, I think that Casio has made a marvellous work of aesthetic line, and the main 3 grand acoustic pianos samples(German) are better voices than p3100.... But the price is excessive, at least in this launch moment!!! 😳😳

@musicaldracula2017 Жыл бұрын
Actually Casio must design a new Priivia line naming like PX-L along with deeper cabinet for a better action consisting longer pivot length and fewer auxiliary sounds but longer samples especialy for A.Piano sounds . The top model for PX-S line should be 6000, no more. Sorry to say so but to me, PX-S 7000 is a marketting drama...
