I've had my beloved Stage3 for two years and this makes me appreciate it even more, seeing how a professional is using features that I'd overlooked. Nord gives you a wealth of raw material and the ability to quickly shape it to your taste.It's probably the most fun, hands-on keyboard I've ever owned.

I'm just a guy from the States who's never seen this channel, nor watched Dave on the UK's The Voice, but man what a great video! Dave seems to be so chill for being on a major show; just two talented guys discussing something they love! And beyond the talent and helpful discussions, is just the simple and obvious excitement you both have for the subject matter. It's contagious!

David tench, the musical genius brains behind the voice. How he and his team makes such accurate backing tracks in a very short space of time. This is highly commendable and takes serious dedication and many more back room hours than the singers.

Love seeing how a pro uses the Nord Stage 3. Our church got one so I get to play it for a week once every month or two. I’ll usually set up 4 patches for the set and use the A/B panels when I need pad on a keyboard hold or if I want to switch quickly from a soft background pad to a solid accompaniment sound. There’s so much to it... I can’t even look at a basic digital piano anymore.

I now have a Stage 3 and an Electro 6d and this is the video I've been after! Love these keyboards so so so much! Thanks guys! :D
@harrisoncanton13394 жыл бұрын
Just asking how would they compare? As in what's the cons to the electro6d? Im in the market but feel so torn should i spend the extra and get the stage3 🙂
@bdmax174 жыл бұрын
Hi Harrison! So I originally bought the Electro 6d SW73 and it's been such a great keyboard, however I was planning on getting the Stage 3 Compact at first but at the time I just needed a keyboard to start playing with so I got the Electro. It's an amazing keyboard and is great for most applications. However, I got to the stage where I was wanting to have more control over my sound and become more adventurous with different sound ideas (as well as having a syhtn engine) so I decided to save up and bought a Stage 3 HA88 and it's absolutely amazing. The best way to sum up both keyboards, is the Electro is great for your main core sounds like piano, organ and maybe some pads (you can be very experimental with just that no need for the Stage in that case), but if you want to start experimenting with more Synth elements and having morphing in place, 2 panels and just the overall power, then the Stage is what you want. After the way I've done it, if you're even considering getting an Electro 6 or a Stage 3, save up and get the Stage 3 Compact because chances are you'll want more power once you've got the electro (well at least I did). And also the Stage 3 Compact has the same keybed as the electro which is AMAZING for organ as well as physical drawbars. So my take is to save up and get the Stage 3 Compact! Hope this helps :D
@bdmax174 жыл бұрын
@Cortana I would probably go for the Electro since most of your synths are covered already. So yeah I'd probably get the Electro as that has great organ and piano as well as some sample based stuff if you want that? But I'd definitely look into it, but on surface level, it sounds like you'd be more than good with an electro! :)
@Lorneplumber4 жыл бұрын
@Cortana There is the possibility of sampling your exisitng synths into the electro, Ive just started putting DX type sounds in mine and it really interesting how you can nordify any samples so it seems seemless with the supplied samples

As Stage 2EX user, we desperately need to have a conversion software to transfer all the patches to Stage 3 or perhaps to Stage 3EX if they're gonna release one. Love that EQ control, I had to assign the control pedal to the manual Wah to make the similar effect, and so many things lacking in the stage 2.

Wonderful video. I love the spitfire strings and brass libs. How did you manage to get sustain working though, in the sample lib 3 from Nord when I loop the audio (which I think is needed by the NS3 for sustain): I can’t find a loop point because the spitfire libs are so dynamic with so much going on. I end up with this horrible synthetic and obvious cut off at the point where the sample loops. If I take the loop off then the sample just cuts off at whatever length of note I played in my DAW when recording the sample. Any suggestions appreciated team 🙈🙈👍👍

Interesting in the Jam in and a bit in the jam out the 2 Nords are slightly out of tune to each other. I wonder if that can be fine tuned to match up? Especially the guitar on the Stage 3. The Wave 2 looks like a great synth with the 4 parts and 48 voices.
