I've had a Go keys for nearly a year now. I'm a professional musician and music teacher and I normally gig with much more expensive high quality gear, but this thing keeps giving. The speakers sound really good for the size. The keybed for the price is really good. Obviously its not a weighted keybed but its very easy to control compared to a Yamaha piaggero for example. The Go Keys has loads of great tones for playing gigs and I've done some small duo gigs with it, and it sounds really good. The fact that it does Midi over USB and Midi over Bluetooth expands the possibilities further, and its small and lightweight, and runs on batteries so I've done some little things outdoors with it in the summer in fields with no access to power. Obviously the organ rotary sim is poor, but plug it into garage band on an iPad and that will solve that. Very useful in many ways. I'd say the go keys for the money is probably the more flexible instrument. I'm now using it for teaching on a weekly basis and I really enjoy using it. Its also got bluetooth connection so you can run sound from your phone or iPad through it. Roland have really nailed it in so many ways here.

@OttosTheName5 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure there's a record mode, where you can record a piano, then record a bass over it, a synth, an organ (1 in every category), but this recording does not loop. You can just play it and record over it. Pretty neat. Then there's the LiveLoop function or something, where you get those pre-made snippets of music you can choose from. About 12 in every category and a bunch of different sets of sounds. You can't change those, those are built in. Would be super rad if you could make your own patterns and stuff for that mode, but I couldn't think of a single instrument that could do that. (You could of course do a lot with a workstation, but that would require some menu diving and stuff) I should add, the Keys can do these things. The Piano can just record 1 instrument once. I bet you can jam over it, but that's it. It's such a shame, the Piano has nicer (Electric) Piano sounds, but it's lacking só many features and sounds.

I own the GoKeys.... the pitch and mod effects are done via touch pad arrays instead of old style "wheels" and the pads work very well. I expect the competition will eventually evolve to them as well. In fact there is only one actual "button" on my GoKeys...on/off....everything else is touch control which I find very sleek, low profile, noiseless, and highly responsive. This may be an "inexpensive" keyboard, but Im telling you when I run her through my Klipsh computer monitor sub/sat system or even just a good set of headphones...she sounds very impressive. The lightweight compact size is also is a big plus. At only 34.5 inches long and less than 3 inches high, Ive found my GoKeys is the most compact 61 key midi/synth (with full size keys) available. Its really a sweet design, built in tones are great, and the bluetooth midi feature is a nice bonus.
