ANDIS SHAVER REVIEW - andis Profoil Lithium Titanium Foil Shaver - For Bald Fades & Removing Stubble

This is a Product review of the andis Profoil Lithium Titanium Foil Shaver. I also do a demo of the shaver and show how to clean and maintain the product. This shaver is best for finishing fades, bald fades and removing stubble. It runs on a rotary motor and can be used cordless or corded. You get approximately 80 minutes of runtime each time you charge it. The shaver runs on a lithium-ion battery. This shaver contains gold titanium hypoallergenic foil for irritation free shaving and gives you a really close finish.

I purchased my andis shaver on Amazon 3 years ago and it's still going strong. Definitely a well made shaver and gets my bald head and face so smooth every time with no pinch or pulling

Thanks Mark! There are surely some pros and some cons to this product. The closeness of the shave is excellent but those cons do bug me and I hope andis tries to improve on them down the road as they are a big name brand for hair cutting products!

Lol, the shaver is a bit loud so I can see why Layla would not appreciate it. I also found it a bit on the louder side! You already know I try my best to be thorough and detailed so you know as much as possible before deciding to buy the product or not. And once you get it you'll be operating and using it like a professional! The closeness of the finish was quite impressive to me so from that perspective I thought it was pretty good. Thanks Farzad. You are right, the shaver is a bit loud. I would prefer if it were a bit more quiet as well but it does give a close finish. This for sure is more for professional use in barber shops and for cleaning up the back of the neck area when you do a fade haircut etc. This would be the best use for it. On the face it will still cut the stubble down and clean most of it up but it is not a proper face shaver and it's not really meant for that. The hypoallergenic foils are comfortable to use and do not irritate the skin so that is another good point I didn't mention in the video. So this product is mixed feelings about it, but at the end of the day it does what it says on the box and it is meant for professional barbershop use!

Hello Kaygee, is this a new brand of shaver? I like the design. The reason for that being light is that the battery is lithium titanium..it makes it so light. Great review and for the presentation of how to use this.

andis is a brand that has been around a long time. This is a professional barbershop brand and they are known for barbershop clippers and trimmers. I've made past reviews on a few of the trimmers/liners. This particular shaver is a newer product of theirs... if I were to guess maybe it came out around 2018 or so? Not 100% sure but I never heard about it before then so most likely in and around that time. The Lithium Battery surely is a good design as it allows you to get lots of use out of a single charge! This surely could be a good gift for someone as long as they know how to use it properly, it does give a good dry shave and finish. :) Much love as always!

Thanks for watching! I sometimes spray the andis cool care to disinfect the blades and it seems to work fine so I would assume if you spray alcohol it should also be fine. It is good to keep them disinfected that is for sure! :) Great question!

Thanks Imran! No it feels pretty good. It is a hypoallergenic foil which reduces irritation so if feels pretty good. I still put aftershave when I'm finished but I haven't really felt razor burn using this shaver. Good question! :)

Can I use this to shave my chest hair too?

This shaver is only meant to shave stubble. Chest hair needs to be trimmed down first if you want to use this. So you would bring it down with an andis trimmer for example and then you could use this to take the stubble off.

@@derekg3259 I think the best way to achieve that is with a combination of a trimmer and shaver. I have done a review on the andis outliner and the andis cordless lithium ion trimmer. Either of those will be good to get the hair down short. A shaver that works well for my father is the Philips Shaver 1000 and that gives him a pretty close finish. There are higher level models if you want to take a step up in quality but Philips is a good brand for shavers. I would research that. Of course there are more but these are the brands I have used and they work well for me!
