Between this and the blades never being zeroed when you buy them new, I wonder if Andis has any quality check system. Seems like they ship new clippers all out of whack. 🤔
@bL3dbL4k7 жыл бұрын
True. I bought 5 from Amazon. Only 2 cut good. Same adjustments to each. It's a hit or miss with each Outliner. And you rarely get one perfect out of the box.

Just got mine brand new and they cut like garbage smdh
@ruminating15963 жыл бұрын
I think they do it because your common consumer is an idiot and would slice their head open and try and sue the company. SO the only true way to zero gap your blades is by voiding the warranty. Therefore, they can prove you altered them and they are guilt free.
@TraumaER3 жыл бұрын
@@ruminating1596 wouldn't be surprised. And you got idiots using these clippers for other parts of the body and wind up finding a way to cut off something else. But yeah, I still have these going on 10+ years. Got a new blade just once. Use them a lot now since I cut my own hair again for last year and line up my own hair with them.

Rather annoying I had to line up the blades and adjust the tension to make this a quality pair of trimmers. Why can't andis just make them this way from the start?
@ssaini50288 жыл бұрын
+Bestoftherest222 I went with the Wahl Detailers, out of the box they cut much closer than the Outliner
@williamswink51447 жыл бұрын
Bestoftherest222 they dont send them out adjusted because if youre inexperienced, you can slice someone open with zero gapped trimmers. they work well enough for home use out of the box

I've adjusted my tension spring and seem to have set my blades right but my clippers still don't seem to cut? Could they just be faulty?
@BL-pv7et3 жыл бұрын
Hello did you oil the blades
@BL-pv7et3 жыл бұрын
Maybe you have the tension screw to tight that would stop the blade from moving
@vegasLo7027 жыл бұрын
If you loosen the screws that hold the stationary blade ,and shift The stationary blade down words it will do the same thing...... also when you stretch out the adjustment arm spring ,It tends to put pressure in a downward force on the stationary blade causing Unproper tension. The best way to explain this is having Center tension on the stationary blade. If the cutting blade has tension going upwards or down the words that's where it will fail in the long run
@BatBrakesBones6 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Larry. I've had such bad luck with these trimmers. I've had them used on me in barbershops, and watched them in videos cutting flawlessly. But mine never cut. I've sharpened the blades, set the blades, and never got them to work properly. I think this may be the problem. I won't give up on them.
