The writing on this show is so far superior to anything Star Wars that has come before it's a breath of fresh air. I'm hopefully optimistic that we'll see Kino again, either before the end of this season or perhaps in season two, reuniting with his brothers Cassian and Melshi, since we don't actually see his fate. Maybe they filmed it that way because they weren't sure if they'd be able to get Andy Serkis again so they wanted to leave it ambiguous.
@campbell919882 жыл бұрын
The way he starts at "I made my mind a sunless place" and ends at "I burned my life for a sunrise I know I'll never see" is just brutally tragic and beautiful and poetic. He ruined himself and he knows he won't even survive to see victory, let alone be able to enjoy it.

Man!!!! Andy Serkis and Stellan Skarsgard really gave it their all in this phenomenal episode, especially the speech that Luthen gave when he mentioned "I burned my life for a sunrise I'll never see." This quote makes so much more significant when Rogue One comes about post season 2. "I can't swim." I'm like: "NO!!!!" But everything of this recent episode is perfection, the build-up from the previous episode was worth it.

The small smile that Kino had when he said "I can't swim" the second time absolutely broke me. He did so much to get the prisoners out and led them to freedom, only to have that realization that he couldn't take part in it. I hope that he and some prisoners stay on the prison, and wait for a transport to come, so they can at least try to overwhelm them and take the ship. If not, I hope he jumped in and got some help, but I don't think we'll ever find out if he escaped or not. God, Andy Serkis is an incredible actor, and I'm really happy he returned to Star Wars for this role, because he killed it.

They exchange meaningful glances when she misses a point. They agree that she is not bright as they are, cannot reason as they do. I loved the episode, the best one so far, Andor has changed a lot, and he no longer hesitates to shoot an enemy on the ground, a huge change from the first episode, although he still doesn't kill in cold blood except if absolutely necessary. The prison escape is also the first operation that Andor creates and directs instead of being a member of the group. In addition, the empire creates an army of enemies in that prison, gives them order, structure, uniforms, teaches them to march and obey and act as a unit instead of individuals, leaders, hierarchy, discipline and most important of all, a reason to the rebellion The moment someone sees through the lie the entire imperial system falls apart. The more they oppress the more and more enemies they create, until they cannot subdue them all, it is a vicious circle that the Empire itself creates and from which it is unable to escape. It is also the episode of the great speeches, where both Kino and Luthen shine in their scenes. Both excellent characters and they can both go very far, but they will never reach the end of the path, they can only help others to make that path.

aaayyy we got the Bendu back for this one! for real? this episode - this series - it's now the best thing I've ever seen from Star Wars (& I am so happy we have this & at the same time I can appreciate & be a fan of things like The Mandalorian or all the animation goodness) God, give Gilroy a trilogy - give HIM the next trilogy - the writing team of he, his brother, Williamson - just everyone - emmys all around.

Isn’t the ISB Agent the same guy who was manning the radio room in Rogue One and notify Mon Mothma about the Scarif attack?

13:45 100% We NEED an UNDERGROUND Coruscant series! It was great to see some of it in Rebels and Bad Batch. It SERIOUSLY deserves it's on series though!
