"I share my dreams, with ghosts" might be my favorite line of dialog in any movie or TV show (shame she cut that line in her reaction). Like, ever. And the way Stellan Skarsgard delivers it... **chef's kiss gesture...** it's PERFECT.

"Star Wars: New Guy" is coming out next year It's about what led this "new guy" into one of the Empire's most brutal prisons He may only have had 20 seconds on screen during Andor .. ... but after 20 hour-long episodes across two series ... you'll come to adore this amazing new Star Wars character, and the sacrifice he made, in standing up to The Empire by selling them dodgy cut-and-shut used TIE fighters (and winding back the odometer to make it look they were "an unwanted present", "hardly used")

Which is why Cassian didn't kill them. The deputy was co-operative ... he's as much a victim of the Empire as the prisoners, and he's just a kid The main man was very young too, and clearly out of his depth - even though he paniced and killed 100 people Cassian, who is NOT an executioner (he only kills people instantly when they are an immediate threat to him - [an impulse born out of his trauma on Kenari, when he saw his leader shot, because nobody acted as fast as the Republic officer]) But, as we saw in Rogue One, when he looked away from an easy shot to kill Galen Erso; he's not an assassin when he has time to think about killing somebody with no gun in their hand

This series stuck the landing in the final episode, but episode 10 is one of the best things I've ever seen on television. The prison escape scene was just riveting and the dialog is high level writing. This episode is a masterpiece.

"I'd rather die trying to take them down...." Cassian is repeating Luthern. It happens at least twice that we hear moderately committed characters repeat the words of fully committed characters as they become more committed themselves. Fascist empires definitely do dress well. Kino was another expression of Luthern's monologue. Kino knew all along that they were surrounded by ocean. He knew was building a sunrise he'd never see. At the meeting between Mon, Tay, and Davo the body language was exquisitely performed. Mon and Tay sat upright and tightly contained; Davo lounged comfortably and spread his arms widely. He was in command and knew it. Davo is beyond the need for money, but he's very much into Chandrean society and he sees marrying into the prestigious Mothma family as his way into social legitimacy. Of course, he doesn't know at this point what Mon is into, but if he does get into her bank accounts, it seems clear to me that a man that experienced in money laundering would figure it out. Tay must have certainly figured it out by now, and he's an honest banker. Now that I think about it just this minute, if Davo gets his head into Mon's books, the only way Mon could protect herself _is_ by tying her family's safety to Davo's. We have two episodes left of a fantastic series season, and don't worry...it stays fantastic to the absolute last moment.

The banker doesnt want to buy her daughter. He wants to buy RESPECTABILITY for his grandchildren, if not his son. Respect from the upper class/old money cannot be bought with credits. A marriage of his son into a respected family doesnt get his son immediately respected, but it probably would for his grandchildren. He can buy anything but their respect. Mon needs his help and he needs a way into respectable society. -Luthen tells Lonnie only what he needs to know. He protects himself and the other pieces of the Network by keeping things insulated. Denying any part in what has happened.

He wants respectability by in essence buying her daughter - implying that it’s just an introduction between the two is still using the daughter as currency or a tradable commodity to use in exchange for his services.

I missed why you think Lonni is Luthen’s son. Is it just because Luthen says he thinks of him constantly? I’m pretty sure it’s just because Lonni is Luthen’s highest placed mole in the Empire

I wonder if there is an edit where Serkis gives his whole speech looking into the camera. I'm so glad that Beau Willimon got hired to co-write Dawn of the Jedi. I've seen these 2 speeches over 100 times and I still get chills. 1st arc, Andor is pushed to rise. 2nd arc, Andor rises along with others. Arc 3 Andor pushes others to rise....
