Poor Cassian. He died in Rogue One trying to destroy the very weapon he unintentionally helped build. 🥺😢

But likely the Narkina 5 escape delayed the Death Star and prevented it from coming on line too soon.

It's a perfect piece of circular storytelling IMO. He was forced, against his will, to help build it. He didn't even know he was doing so, he only knew he wanted nothing to do with "it," whatever "it" is. Later on, he will willingly give his life for the mere **chance** that others will destroy it. Dude's all in. He might never even make the connection for himself (we don't know if he'll ever find out he was making bits for the DS1 in prison, we'll see what S2 has in store but I hope he doesn't ever find out. I think it's more powerful that way). Cheers

Fantastic finale. I’ve watched quite a few reaction videos to it. And all of you guys talk over the most emotional dialogue parts. The manifesto. Brilliant! Amazing writing for the show.

Yeah, I think it’s the rampant fear of copyright blocks that compels us to speak whenever there’s even a minor dip in pace. The managing of screen on screen time with these videos to avoid any issues is insane. 💀

Somehow against all expectations, Andor is the best live action Star Wars, and probably the best show in 2022.

This show has been such a revelation for me, I would never have thought that Andor needed a stand-alone series. Gilroy's input into Star Wars has been a breath of fresh air, gutted we need to wait till 2024 for series 2 but it will be epic for sure. Great reaction again guys, you're both "big yins" 😀

Brilliant ending, Marvas speech almost had me in tears and wanting to headbutt someone lol The writing is just incredible, Dedra is now in the exact same situation Syril was in, she effed up big time and her boss will not be happy.... Nemics voice over with his manifesto was inspiring, Mons beautiful way of using her hubby to cover her money was class, the realism of the riot was done brilliantly and finally, that little smile Luthen gave Andor when he asked him to take him in. A solid 9/10 episode and finale. You guys did miss the whole part about how his little grassing friend knew where he was, he did say to the imp he never saw him but he knew were he was going to be as he was watching the exits of that shop. I've missed wee things here and there as well and actually watching your reactions has made me catch stuff i never seen when i watched it myself ! Lets pray that Mando s3 and Ahsoka are good enough to fill the gap as we wait for Andor s2.....but Disney might be sold to Apple by then and KK and her Klan are reported to be on their way out... fingers crossed. Its been emotional boys....
@MovieBurnerEntertainment2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, how we both missed that was incredible. I clocked it in the edit and was howling, because we were both sure it was a lazy shortcut and we hadn't missed a moment. I agree with the post-humous speech, that completely changes the entire significance of the show's name. It was always about more than Cassian himself anyway, with the exploration of the greater fight against the Empire and the trials/tribulations of the growing Rebel Alliance. But now we realise the Andor title is as much about Marvas and Clem as it is about Cassian. I've got high hopes for both those shows, especially the Ahsoka one and the potential live-action introduction of Thrawn. The Mando speaks for itself really.

Maarva's speech DID have me in tears. Mainly because the line "tell him, I love him more than anything he could ever do wrong" had already broken me.

And he’s not a Jedi. Disney and marketing material and merchandise confirmed it. That item he had that looked like a saber…. Was a knife.

to be honest, if Bix ends up committing to the rebellion, I don't see her as a front line combatant so much as ground crew keeping starfighters ready for combat

Great reaction! Violin viola cello are string instruments. Woodwinds are like flute clarinet oboe bassoon.

Yeah, I was tripping that whole scene, clearly. 🤣 I dug a hole with the initial brass remark and popped up in Australia, I’d dug that far, with the woodwind stuff. 🙈

*Also, we can see how the intro title music played different pieces for each episode, and then all those different pieces were combined together at the end, to make the funeral march for Maarva. That makes it seem like the title "Andor" wasn't really referring to Cassian, but to his mother Maarva Carassi Andor, whose posthumous speech sparked the Rebellion against the Empire. Or perhaps how the family name Andor then becomes associated with the Rebellion, sort of like how the Skywalker name does.*

I like that concept man and I never noticed the different musical pieces in the titles, I’ll have to go back and check that out now. It would certainly explain the decision to call the show Andor and not Cassian Andor or some other corny, rebel affiliated name. That surname, as we‘re now aware, represents so much more than merely Cassian and his travails.

Bill Hader did the sounds for BB8 in The Force Awakens - also when you complained earlier about thinking they skipped a page when the Imperial Officer claimed someone had seen Andor, I think you just misheard it - The Officer asks "He's seen him?" referring to the snitch that got Xan drunk. The spy that had the guy "arrested" replies "No, but he's sure he's there." Think we're just meant to put the pieces together, Xan was drunk enough to explain what was happening and where Cassian was going to be, the snitch passed it along for his reward and that's how we get to that point.
