The first half of the Andor rebellion theme is actually somewhat present in Victory Celebration from Return of the Jedi. I’d say it has an even stronger connection to this track, maybe unintentionally, than to the others you mentioned. The “heroic fifth” observation is of course spot on and that connection made the Blade Runner like soundtrack of the show feel more closely related to its more symphonic musical roots from the movies

Whoa. I didn’t even think of that but they’re essentially Major and minor versions of each other at the beginning. Great find!

Finding that parallel between other works is so interesting. Especially noting that Andor and Rogue one both have this melodic reference to Luke, who is initially a nobody. An amazing find good sir

I loved it!!!! Specially on that scene with Kleia walking through the concrete halls of Coruscant And the heroic trumpet during the prison break But re-watching the series, I realized this theme, was since the very beginning, but it was mixed with Andor's themes It was after he killed the 2 patrols and rushed to his ship While he was running, the Andor's theme and Kleia are mixed

Kleya is "Andor"'s Vader) He had the Imperial March, she has the "Rebellion theme"))

I hadn’t considered that. Although this theme seems to get used more democratically than Vader’s theme does. It’s just that one hallway scene.

It’s in there as well. And also in episode 6. I realized these other moments after I made the video unfortunately. I was so stuck on it being Kleya’s theme beginning in Ep. 7 that I was blinded to other moments. Thank you for mentioning this spot as well!

@@starwarsmusicanalysis yes i understand. andor's soundtrack is really rich. many themes, linked to different feelings, characters or places. there are several variations of the same theme. sometimes mixed together. like "who else know" = daughter of ferrix + "forming up/unto the stone we are". it is a complete job to analyze and understand all this. (i'm french, i used google trad. sorry for my english)

Your English is exceptional. So well done, Google. Haha. I find all of the themes to have incredible similarities while also giving stark differences. Sometimes, I’m not even sure which theme I’m listening to for a bit. (I.e. ANDOR’s and The Rebellion) But I think that was intentional.
