Thankyou for this reaction. This lady is so talented and plays several instruments. People travel from everywhere to go to his Maastricht concerts. If you ever get a chance to go to one of his concerts please please go. Some you can sing along, some you can dance to and some just sit and enjoy

His concerts seem so incredible and mesmerizing! I hope I can go to one this year. Otherwise I will have to make sure to go next year, if he goes on another tour. I am 🤞my fingers!

He was booked to come to Vancouver a couple of years ago, I payed for my ticket, then to concert was cancelled! Yes, I was refunded, but, when can we see them again? It looks like I’ll have to go to Maastricht.

As a Scottish Australian I always find this piece quite emotional. Interestingly enough, it's not a Scottish composition but was written by Germans Ulrich Roever and Michael Korb for a Highland Games held in Germany in 1982.

Highland Cathedral was composed by two Germans in honour of Scotland. I believe it was an avenue of trees in Perthshire that inspired the tune, Highland Cathedral

Andre Rien is a master showman and his performances are awesome . The. world lacks his contribution . He deserves all the praise. I have attended his concerts and all have had me in tears of sheer joy. Wow is the word!

I am thankfull that i have met André Rieu twice personally. First time his lifeguard made the picture with Mister Rieu and me together. And i had before a very nice conversation with his lifeguard. Some years later his lifeguard saw me and he knew me immediately and thanks to him again that i have got 2 autograph from André Rieu; on the picture and on a DVD bookcover. André Rieu and his whole orchestra and team are great!

Absolutely sublime piece of music. I'm not even Scottish, but it makes me proud to share the same island as a homeland.

This song is Austrian penned & composed. There are lyrics to it! Its a staple for Austrian & Scottish people but it's loved all over the world! Please look up the history! It's on Google.

A lot of Scots will have this played at their funeral. Hence why you see some people getting emotional. I'm sure it stirs up memories.

I love Highland Cathedral. My friend, Rob Crabtree, is a world class bagpiper and I have heard and watched him perform this piece numerous times and I always love it. Also, I was living in Singapore when the British handed Hong Kong back to China in 1997 and Highland Cathedral was the anthem at the handover because Gov Chris Patten requested it.

The American commentary is typical of US idiocy and spoils great music.
@HeidariReacts19 күн бұрын
@@BobMurray-i2l Funny how you are talking shit about americans and calling them ”idiots”. In the mean time you assumed I was an american just based on my accent, when in reality I am swedish born with a mixed ethnic background… I will give you this advice, if you care to listen to a 26 year old… Do not get negative and judgemental. If you do not like something, do not spend time on it. Your comment became a pointless and worthless comment with NO real value in it. Have a great day, from one non american to another😅
