Just heard this on soundtrack of today's Dr Who, series 11 episode 3 Rosa Parks. It suited the episode well about Rosa Parks who fought all her life against the white supremacy in USA. It's not perfect, but nothing ever is. A nice song that makes me want to know more about the injustices of life. Hell, aren't they everywhere you look ?

Prison justice and carceral abolition, police violence, the #AbolishICE movement, immigration justice, and housing reform amongst others. In Rosa's day the police and prison system were used to incarcerate people of colour and now it's used to disenfranchise them from voting and from general civil life, she was a big supporter of the Black Panthes and focused quite intently on documenting and opposing abuses of police power; Rosa herself had concerns around gentrification and housing reform, and worked with a Democratic congressmean to try to help with that. In the same role she fought for welfare reform, education reform, and job discrimination laws. She also supported armed black self defence; something the modern Democratic party seems to have largely forgotten, but that leftists, such as the communists that Rosa and her husband went to the meetings of, haven't. I say again. Fight for Rosa's vision if you believe in what she stood for.
