Great point! Probably why I rarely enjoy live shows. We're so used to studio production sounds that the live version sounds like bad karaoke. I actually prefer them lip synching during live guest appearances as opposed to belting out a different version of the way I preferred. Either that or sing like you do from your albums/records or whatever it's called nowadays.

Same here. Met him in Ibiza with my mate in a bar in San Antonio. Chatted for about ten mins, great guy, said he was working there. We never let on that we knew who he was. Just a group of lads chatting. A couple of months later Club Tropicana came out. The video was fimed there in ibiza and that was his work. Btw a group of girls gathered in the bar while we chatted, me and my mate were totally aware of them, he didnt blink an eye. Years later it made sense when he came out. Saw him on his '25' tour. Along with Micheal Jackson at Aintree, Rod Stewart who ive seen at few times and Simply Red , they all sounded just has good live.

Beautiful Beautiful!!! I heard Careless Whispers many years ago and I didn't know the name of the song until one day just about two years ago. I asked the person what's the name of that song, the tune is Beautiful. I was on the train headed uptown to 125th Street. I put it on my phone and was able to keep track of it. George Michael did a great job with his song " Careless Whispers" . I really love that song. Now a day or so ago Smokey Robinson spoke about how he loved the song and I listened to it and then I couldn't stop listening to it. That just put the icing on the cake for me. We love George Michael. He's always been a good person and wonderful talent. I also heard George Michael sing one of The Temptations songs at a Concert on line singing "Papa Was A Rolling Stone" and I really like what he did with that song. Very nice.

The beginning - oof, his voice was like liquid gold, love the more soulful tweaks he made to the tune here - just so beautiful. I read that he didn't much care for this duet with Smokey but loved singing with Stevie Wonder and you can kind of see why, this duet seems disconnected between the two of them, just a perception I've had from the first time I saw it - GM's performance was, though, as ever stellar and powerful. Few things as exciting though to hear the crowd cheer at 2:48 when GM really lets loose. Goosebumps

Far out! This is amazing! To hear GM with Smokey Robinson, in a live (recorded performance for us on TOUTUBE), just goes to show what a fantastic voice BOTH of them have together! A great song too--and at a very young age--just how talented GM was and his gift. Wonderful. How sad he is gone. I hope that youngsters who discover George Michael's music, and many are, understand HIS story, learn the lesson, to STAY away from drugs. It was a combination of alcohol, smoking too much marijuana, consuming cocaine that caused his heart to enlarge and weakened it. Then this put a terrible strain on his kidneys, causing them not to function correctly. Then add in the medications he needed for an injured knee--this caused him to just bloat up like a balloon days before he died. His organs literally shut down. This is how he died. Message: do not drink, do not smoke, do not do drugs. Keep the temple God gave you clean. Live a long life and enjoy the gifts God gave you. There are no retired drug addicts, they do not grow old, they die in the prime of life and leave empty hearts, and holes that need filling. YOU are missed GM---Glad we have your music that you left behind for us to enjoy. Still, we would rather have YOU.
