ANDRE WARD MASTER CLASS ON THE ART OF COUNTERPUNCHING: "DISCOURAGE OPPONENT FROM THROWING PUNCHES"

An effective counterpuncher can discourage an opponent from throwing punches with effective timing, speed or quick reflexes. Andre Ward is an example of a fighter who didn't have blazing hand speed or knock out power but would use his very high fight IQ to completely dominate and beat his opponents. Personally I never liked his style alot of clinching but it was affective I would like to see him fight Canelo Alvarez that is probably the only fight that he would come out of retirement for since know one else has the massive financial backing like he does.
