I’ve been watching and playing this beautiful game for 30 years and there’s no midfielder who can do what Pirlo does, absolutely no midfielder. He’s the greatest at his role and through him we have deep-lying playmakers today. His footprint will forever be stamped in this game. Some don’t under this game thus they think the likes of KDB, Xavi, Scholes, Alonso are better than Pirlo. They’re all excellent players but nothing like Pirlo. Lemme settle it for you: Pirlo can do it all, and more. - He has the vision, better them all. - He has the passing, better accuracy than them all. Some think Pirlo can only do long passes 😅. What a joke! He can do the difficult passes but not the easy ones. Go watch his games again. I will give an example of Grosso’s goal in WC semi-final, or that was a medium pass? What does with his long passes is to turn defense into attack with just a single pass, thus completely changing the game in a matter of seconds. - He’s a dead ball specialist, one of the greatest of all time and better than all the players people have been comparing him with. Free kicks, corners, penalties all checked. - He has the ball control as well, difficult the get him to lose the ball. - He can score as well, even from distance. Checkout his goal at the Bernabéu. For seconds, people didn’t even notice he’d score including players on the pitch. I think Italians players are not appreciated enough, same as Germans.

pirlo is 2nd only to de bruyne, i know pirlo is wayy to senior and a proven legend but de bruyne is freakier, pirlos passes can be compared to the likes of scholes but there are no peers to de bruynes ground passing skills.

@@zeeshanlalani2160 you're deluded if you think De Bruyne can compare to Pirlo (even playing different positions). De Bruyne plays for a star studded team that steamrolls teams because of the amount of quality players they have. Pirlo MADE teams play, no matter how good the players around him were. All he required was for his team mates to keep running, and he would find them. Pirlo could do in the air, what Xavi could only do on the ground. De Bruyne is not in the same category as Pirlo. Never will be.
