I was a reed sucker and played sax... until I heard the Rafael Mendez recording of La Virgen de la Macarena. The I bought a trumpet and started trying to learn. All I ever managed to do was amuse myself and annoy the cat but hearing this reminds me why I love brass, especially Latin brass. Beautifully done!

I thought I knew the best trumpeter in the world until I heard this man....absolutely unbelievable....can play any type of music which is almostimpossible. Usually a trumpeter sticks to one kind of category...he does it all!!! Oh, yeah, I play the trumpet. That's how I know.
