I was a big colourpop fan and I got sick of mediocre products and shipping to Australia can be pricey ; so I have moved to more high end products . Doing my research , getting samples where I can and purchasing the one good quality product and love using it instead of multiple mediocre products that dont make my makeup heart sing .

same!!! I have so many large palettes and all summer I have been reaching for my MAC singles, and Clindona, Sydney Grace and MUG...they are just so superior to most other shadows I am spoiled, lol. They blend like a dream are so effortless - then I'll think, oh, let's use this too faced palette from a few years ago...immediately "nope" , brush it off, go right back to my singles, lol. I'm also a definite novice, while I've been doing my make up for over 35 years, I'm still not a really talented make up applier. have to say I'm super curious as to what accounts for the massive price difference.

I did a big declutter over the weekend and put the box of what I got rid of in the lobby of my apartment building (people put their unwanted stuff there all the time) last night. I went out there this morning and someone had taken the entire box! I hope they found lots of stuff they can use. 😊

It is always a good reminder for us to declutter our makeup from time to time. Also good to let us know when products might be expiring. I appreciate your honesty about Colourpop and I agree. I haven't been inspired in the last year with any of their releases. I do have some good products from them in the past. You are so right about the ND concealer. It has spoiled me for any other concealers.

When I first really got into makeup I was so excited about Colourpop, because it was good quality at good prices. I was working on building an eyeshadow palette collection. But, then the longer I used them, and the more products I bought, the more I didn’t like them. 😳😬 I realized their eyeshadows make my eyelids really dry. After one day wearing their eyeshadows, even the supershocks, my eyelids itched by the end of the day, and are super crusty, then it takes me three days to moisturize and fix my eyelids. I’m so bummed, I really wanted to love them 😢

I have been working on a declutter this weekend for pretty much everything. Off-topic, but I decluttered my closet and it felt so good. Makeup drawer is tomorrow. I have way too many things I just don't use. I wanted to kind of step out of my comfort zone for fall and try some things that I've never done before like a blue eyeshadow or a deep red lipstick 💄. I agree with you about the milk makeup concealer. I think the consistency changed and I purchased it about 6 months ago. I absolutely hate how messy it is in the packaging! I’m using it up but won’t repurchase.

I’ve seen the Uoma line at JC Penney. My JC Penney used to have a Sephora in it (which is now across the street at Kohls) but the old Sephora space at Penney’s now has a bunch of different cosmetic lines, including quite a bit of drugstore. There is a display for Uoma.

Some of my favourite eyeshadows are the Kiko eyeshadow sticks. They’re amazing!! They stay on so well and are £9.99 so really affordable. I prefer them to the Laura Mercier ones.

Great declutter!!! I'm a huge fan of eye shadowsticks. I use matte ones as eyeliner. I like how easy they are to smudge out and then they are waterproof and last all day.

I tried the Colourpop X Target Eyeshadow Palette in Deja Brew and I got say I love it. I do love Colourpop's Pressed Powder Blush in Papaya and it's the perfect spring and summer shade but I do need get another one in fall.

Andrea, You are not missing anything everyone and they're brother are releasing shadow sticks. I have always been a fan of them especially the caviar sticks. The brands keep releasing unreliable products. I feel half the brands also try to market their lip glosses as a lip oil.

I change my makeup with the seasons. If I didn’t use something by the time the next season rolls around, I get rid of it. However, with the prices continuing to rise, I might figure out ways to make the less than optimal products work.

The ELF liquid shadows are a good dupe for the Stila ones, K Beauty also has a lot of nice liquid glitter shadows like 3CE and etude house which I also like. I decluttered my elf cream blushes, I feel like those don't last very long, I tried cleaning them but they seemed gunky so I threw them out after a few months.

I am so not mad about the eye shadow stick explosion. I have developed a contact allergy to every powder shadow I own. The only things i can wear on my eyes are shadow sticks and eye liners. Mascara has always been hit or miss for me as well..some I can wear, some I can't. 🤷‍♀️

Do you have any products that you can’t let go because they hold a special meaning to you? Or a special memory attached to it? When my daughter was in middle school, she bought me this all shimmer Hard Candy palette. It’s not very good quality but idk why, I can’t let go of it. Just wondering also, are you saving things that belonged to Tavian from when he was younger? My kids are in college now but I have a large tote for each of them from when they were little filled with clothes, toys, books and drawings. It was so hard to narrow it down. 🙁

I do like the Saie bronzer but I use a pretty dense brush to blend out. I find the tone is good for my skin because bronzers often look orange on me and this one doesnt do that. However, I still mostly turn to my Butter Bronzer (old dogs!!)😅😅

I’m just want to take a minute to rant and express my confusion over brow colors. I have tried so many brow pencils, mascaras, the powder kind you apply with a brush. I have brown hair, and I don’t mean light brown. But in many brands I actually have to buy their blonde or even light blonde shade otherwise it looks like I sharpied on my brows, even when I apply with a light hand. I want to know how the blondes are dealing with this. lol I can’t get over this. Even taupes looks so dark. 🤨

Hope your little man isn't sick and doing well. I am very sick with the flu, and lungs have nodes, which hurts. I got 2 puffers, a nose spray and prescipt cough medicine. The stick eyeshadows are still new to me. I got one of the Realher in a pink/light brown, and I got one of the Bobby brown, which is a light yellow base and is surreal when the light hits it. Beautiful, but I never know how to use it, so use them as inner corner highlighting. 😅❤😊

I decided I’m done buying from Colourpop. I’ve gotten a few great items from them but as far as eyeshadow, I can get indie singles. I swatched their new blushes and there was no pigment. They haven’t done anything exciting that stands above other brands in a long time.
