Teeco the Turtle ║ Hang Out with This Homeschool Mom of 9 │ School Week 31

This is a very busy week! We had a power outage from a big storm; Justus later found a dead snake that we think may have been injured or drowned during the storm. Our washing machine need another repair that Tom was able to do. We took Baby Hannah to meet Grandpa Frank for the first time and attended Thaen and Caeden's speech recital. On Sunday, we finally tried all of the candy that Lucy sent and Chelsea sent. Solomon has been dying to do that for two months! Justus fun dissolving the shell of an egg, though it ended in a predictable mess. We had fun tricking Daddy that it was Tuesday instead of Monday. He fell for it and we all felt glorious until Daddy was disappointed to find out he had to go out on appointments the next day. (He stays home on Wednesdays, but not on Tuesdays.) We had an errand to do one day this week that was rather quick and boring, but kind of far from home so we made a trip of it by having a picnic at the park. Finally, Papa Gary caught a turtle and brought it over to give to Judah for his birthday. (This vlog ends three days before Judah's birthday.) Judah named the turtle Teeco from a logo that was on the box in which the turtle arrived at our house.
Our family homeschools using ACE curriculum. As of this video, our children are 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 5, 4, 2 and 3 weeks.

I always try and bring in yard solar lights inside, when the lights go out. Safe for kids to take to the potty or their room. maybe keep some inside, by a light so they will be ready when you need them. Just a tip, works for me. Blessongs to your sweet family. Your friend in AL.

You're right; that's the new box. The old one finally ran out a few weeks ago, so I painted the new one right away. I used my Cricut to cut some vinyl to decorate the front, too. I was happy with how it came out. Now that I know that thing will be around for a few years, no putting off decorating it!

To keep washer clean I use one dishwasher tab on a hot wash once a month and got be empty hopefully that keep u washer cleaner so next tom has fix it this will not have built up

I use my carpet cleaning machine to shampoo the furniture. It has a hose attachment. (www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009ZJ2M7G/) Thankfully, all was well with the office. The power came back on well before we were in danger of flooding. (I'm so glad!!!) Yes, the egg was raw when Justus put it into the vinegar.

I watched half of this before going out to plant some tomatoes and get my tiller to till a spot up for squash. How is your gardening going? Is it on pause? It's mostly me that does the planting and upkeep as well as freezing etc. I also eat the cherry tomatoes right off the vine and am so eager for that. I am thinking about getting a canner like yours. Are you still liking yours? Precious baby Hannah. Looooved the booty position for sleeping. My favorite was nibbling baby toes. I'm weird but just love those tiny lil nuggets. I couldn't remember why Justus was upset so I asked him. He said it was because he was missing out on all of the power-outage fun because he wasn't done with his school work and was still doing it by candlelight. (He can be pretty emotional sometimes.) We're still going to have a garden this summer, but we're late getting it all in. I've got quite a bit of garden footage to edit for some garden videos. So much to do! We do still enjoy our canner. It's very nice. We just got a food dehydrator which I'm hoping to put to good use this season, too. My toe is fine, most of the time. Then someone steps on it or I kick something and remember it's not quite healed yet!

Andrea Mills Broke my ankle Fathers day 2016. Oh my goodness how hard it was to just sit w/ my ankle up. But, my kids really stepped up and took over cooking until I could be up again. (they did laundry too & gave the clothes to me to fold.) Now they still cook. My ankle still aches and throbs but I am so glad to be up & at 'em momma again.... no complaining. 😉 Boone, my son, struggles w/ concentration issues. He has to be alone or it has to be quiet for him to get done. He likes to get it done early while its quiet w/ no distractions.

Yup every sump pump owners worst nightmare loosing power! We have a battery back up on ours but still if the power is out for a long time it’s going to run out of battery! I agree the turtle needs water it’s a water turtle. It probably won’t stay in your pond. My mom put one in hers and it ran away.

We have a separate enclosure with a little pond for turtles at the other end of our stream. We kept turtles in it for a few years, but one winter they all died. That's where the new turtle will move to when the pond is running again. (He does have water in the meantime.) Water circulates from the main pond, up an underground pipe to the turtle pond, then overflows down the stream back to the main pond. All the new pond equipment arrived this week, except the liner, so hopefully we'll get that job done very soon.

Hello again! Have to say I no longer see Asher in Hannah. She's looking more like Claudia to me now. They're all just cute as bugs anyhow and really favor each other! We're having our April showers in June. We had highs of 80s and then last Thursday, it plummeted to the low 50s and we're even expecting frost overnight! It's cloudy and overcast with drizzles then sprinkles then torrential downpours. Can't make up its mind what it wants to do. lol I'm just glad those high temps are gone. I am miserable in the heat. Did everyone have a major sugar buzz after trying out all those candies and sweets? Some looked and sounded pretty tasty. Have to say, I'm with Solly on the speech depression. lol I never have been one to listen to a speech unless it was interactive or included cool props. I feel ya, bud!

I remember one fall when I was in high school and the weather was all over the place. In one 24 hour period there was a 90 degree swing in temperature!

Sounds like Michigan though our latest swing was about 70 degrees, I think. Third week of April, it hit high 70's and the next day, we had a blizzard. That really wet, sticky, break your shovel heavy kind of snow. I do love the four seasons but I'm not going to lie, if I cold find a place that was spring and fall year round and was not too expensive, I would move in a heart beat!

I've felt the same way. It seems like all of them have such long hair all of a sudden! I actually trimmed a few inches of Eden's hair when I gave the boys haircuts recently, too, but it still looks so long.

Hello there. I'M SO DEDICATED TO THE MILLS FAMILY LOL....I live in Florida and live right next to Tarpon Springs mini Greece so I think of them every day on my way to chemotherapy and radiation therapy and then on my way home because they are so into Greeks. My step-brother studied in France. He brought all of us some candy home for the holidays.....NASTY. My oldest niece has inlaws in Australia,they went DOWN UNDER and brought back all kinds of goodies. The candy was awesome.

Andrea,I have never asked on KZbin before,but I need all of the prayers I can get. Long story short,I have been told that I have a Lung Disease. I was in the hospital for almost a week. I was discharged on my Birthday. I came home on Oxygen. I will be on it for the rest of my life. I have Lupus. It is attacking my organs. My kidneys aren't functioning normally.
