Jumping for Joy ║ Hang Out with This Homeschool Mom of 9 │ School Week 30

This week I'm spending a lot of time nursing Miss Hannah, but I'm also starting to get things more in order and back to normal at our house. (Miss Hannah was one week old at the beginning of this vlog.) (Not shown in this video were the Live Baby Shower that happened during this week, as well as Mother's Day, which are both shown in separate videos, and the Baby Celebration party, which will be shown in an upcoming video.)
Everyone has been busy getting lots of school work done, but we've also had lots of fun. Our friends gave us their old trampoline, which thrilled the kids to no end! We've also been enjoying our outdoor dining area and we played Exploding Kittens this week for Game Night. We enjoyed making puzzles with the blank kits that our KZbin friend sent us, some of the kids had a fun sleepover at Grandma Kitty's house, and they went to the park while I visited with Grandma Fern, Aunt Mona, Uncle Gari, Papa Gary and my sister Ami over in Sundance.
It was time for hair cuts, so I did them on the back porch so I could enjoy watching the kids play on the trampoline.
Our family homeschools using ACE curriculum. Our children are 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 5, 4, 2 and 1 week old.

Claudia sounded sassy and then I realized she was protecting her Mommy. Go sit down right now! :) Claudia knows Mommy just had a baby and wants her to not get too tired out. And so sweet watching Tom look at Claudia. Makes me long for those days again! Then again, I love having just one left to school and our new grandson, just 7 months old! I'm very blessed they live, my daughter and her husband, in our town and get to see them often and all our other children are nearby too! Thank you for sharing Andrea, I just discovered you recently and am enjoying each and every vlog!

A fun idea for the trampoline this summer, put a garden hose hooked up to a sprinkler under the trampoline and jump while wearing your swimsuit! My little sister and I had tons of fun doing that when we were kids!!

I was watching your most recent video, and trying to count all the activities in the yard (club house, sandbox, swings, 2 slides, jungle gym, zip line, etc.) and thinking that you needed a trampoline to go with all the other stuff, and voila! you have a trampoline!

I don't know if it gets really windy there at times, but I wanted to warn you that if it does you might want to invest in a couple pairs of good anchors. We just used the cheap horseshoe ones & our trampoline was picked up in the air by strong winds & was left crumpled up across the street!

Good idea! We put a bag of concrete mix on each leg rail and after a couple of rains it formed solid over the leg rails! Worked wonders!

little miss hannah is such a quiet baby. Do you do anything with your dandy lions....some friends of mine have been posting about jelly and teas and other thing to do with them!?! It is so awesome that grandma kitty does things with the kids! Do the kids play popcorn on the trampoline? One kid in the middle rolls up in ball holding their legs with arms...the other kids (many 2 or 3 kids at most so people dont get hurt) jump around them and bounce to see how long it takes to pop the popcorn. Do you have to use a special needle to sewing blue jeans?

When you're driving on the way to the library and keeping apace with the train, you pass a tall building all by itself on the other side of the tracks from where your road is. What is that building -- is it a grain elevator?

Yes, I think it is an old grain elevator. There used to be a lot of old buildings along the tracks because Moorcroft was a main shipping point back in the Old West days. In fact, the playhouse we have in the corner of our yard was built using old lumber from a barn that stored wool by the railroad tracks waiting to be shipped afar.

We've used Parent's Choice for years, aside from newborn size because they don't sell those (at least not at our Walmart.) I think they're just fine, though I can't really compare them to something else since that's all we use. :)
