Enjoy the "drifter" lifestyle in beautiful puglia!

To determine whether you could live there you would need to stay a week or two in bad and cold weather. Looking at the building I would put a veranda in front of it, so you can sit outside in rain or shine, drink coffee, eat pastries or enjoy aperitivo time!

That little building is actually in the process of being renovated. It looks a lot different there now since we were there 😎 As you say, you need to stay longer in an area during different seasons to get a proper feel for it. January and February are a particularly challenging time with the short days.

Hey guys, not sure why I put this video off for so long, cos I loved it. I notice you use the word "cozzie" too (one of the many slang expressions for swimsuit in Oz). I'm intrigued about why you wear a cap Lisa? When so many female travelers wear hats (don't get me wrong, I wear a cap too, which is why I'm interested in YOUR reasoning). Actually I've been noticing bits and pieces about your wardrobes of late and I think it would be great if you (both) could do a video on clothing items you find serve you best for this lifestyle (yes, we all know about Andre and the multiple black t-shirts 😏). Especially shoes. And are there certain fabrics you look for etc?

Hi Susie! I think I lean towards a cap because it packs easier and stays on my head better in windy conditions! But to be honest, I think a "cute hat" looks much better on me than a cap and I can't pull off a cap with short hair. In 2019 in Asia I mostly wore a hat but a cap is much more practical! Sadly I'm starting to tend towards Andre's black v-neck wardrobe style! We're not that fussy when it comes to fabrics so long as they are wrinkle free and quick drying. Shoes is another story altogether... perhaps we should do a video!

The good thing about living cheap in puglia, if you are an explorer, is that you can rent out your property, take your van and head off to take a ferry to Albania and Greece.

You're reading our minds 😁 The stumbling block we reach is WHEN would we want to be in Puglia? Shoulder seasons would be the best time. Then like you say you leave for the busy summer months and maybe even for the worst of winter. Something we're thinking about for the future..

@@WeWillNomad Let your (longer term) puglia-renters determine when you are somewhere else. Weekly holiday rentals do not make sense, but renting out or swapping homes from 3 weeks on should do.

@@WeWillNomad My favourite months in puglia range from may to september. April and october can be nice, but also cloudy and rainy. For winter you need good heating to keep moisture and mold out.

@@WeWillNomad July and august are high season in puglia, when even short term rental might make sense to head off north and drive from Foggia up passing the town of Campobasso into the cooler mountains of the Abruzzo region, with little gems like Sulmona, Chieti and the castle of Rocca Calascio. The area has sparkling clean mountain streams (for kayaking, trout fishing (if and where allowed), or very refreshing swims) in the Majella national park region.

@@WeWillNomad There is also great and affordable skiing in the Abruzzo region in winter in places like Roccaraso a 4 to 5 hour drive from puglia.

So upsetting about the lack of gelato! We had a 4 night break in our motorhome and suffered from 75mm of snow and found 2 mouse nests!

Hi you pair You should buy a land or garage for Mille near a beach and a fishing rod as fish is getting more expensive as well as land, good luck.

Do you think you'd ever want to build a house? If no I think one of the beauties of your lifestyle is that you have your freedom and are not tied to property...

Hello! Always as nice to watch your film clips. If you have the finances to buy land, do so if you have finished traveling with "Mille". Me and my keresta Karina have plans to drive to San Marino at the end of May next year in our Hobby 600 from -89. Just a little wonder if you are allowed/can bring your dog up to the "village". Thank you if you can answer it. Etc. Ronny and Karina
