Wow. That second property is what Italian dream homes are made of. Just the right scale for me.

Marco, as usual you managed to elevate a sense of adventure and longing for visiting this beautiful region of Italy, if not acquiring a small piece to call my own. Much appreciation and respect for your understated manner of presenting these wonderful properties as well as enlightening us on yet more Italian history. Grazie mille!

Thank you so much for your kind words and support! My goal with these videos is not only show the stupendous beauty these places offer but also to transmit the passion that I have for this territory. I know the dedication is worth it all when I hear that that enthusiasm is felt by my viewers. 🙏

Love your videos! I already bought my 1st Puglian home and I can't wait to get there!! Also, thank you for telling us the prices of things again, like food. It's really helpful for people to get a real picture of some of the costs of living there. That $3.50 breakfast would be double where I'm currently at.

@Salina_Bina10 ай бұрын
@@olgasampis9745 he mentioned it in the video. $3.5 for cappuccino and pastichoto. Lunch was $18 for the fresh catch fish and beer...which was a little pricey for lunch.

Castro is a beautiful town but gets extremely busy in the summer so having private parking makes this property quite rare and manageable to live in and/or achieve a very high rental price for the area. Love your wonderful presentations around Salento thank you for sharing.

Check this out, Marco 12:18: "... stairs are in GRANITE..." not sure if you can treat this granite with radon to find out if radiation is present. They still use it in construction business in the USA for kitchen and bathroom flooring and countertops. 🤔 BTW, I love watching your video topic about homes, ristorante, and baked goods. So elegant😍🥰

The outdoor area of the 2nd house is great. Beautiful views! What disappointed me a bit was the predominant baby blue accents inside the villa. This gives it the appearance of a daycare center and that detracts from this beautiful villa...

You have become so Dutch! 4:32 you see a small space and immediately think bicycle parking haha but yes I agree it could be good for bicycle parking (and storing some boxes). Great video once again. I like it that you show the prices. 18 euros for a lunch and 4 euros for a small coffee and snack is not that extremely cheap but affordable compared to the Netherlands. Thanks for sharing!

Are there renovation codes in Castro which limit the extent modifications can be made to these historic buildings? Might be practical to make the bathroom and kitchen into an en suite/walk-in clothes closet, and the other room into an open concept living/dining/kitchen (although I didn’t see piping handy). Love your brilliant content!

I am not an architect but i am local to this area and i believe that "what happens inside stays inside" - always safe to speak to a local architect but my parents have made several changes to layout to their properties without ever needing to ask for permission. As long as you're not changing the overall sq. footage you should be ok and not break any laws.

Hi I live in Salento (Galatina) and if I might give you a suggestion you should look for less tourists areas. There's way too many confusion and noise on Summer in Castro so go better for the area around Santa Maria di Leuca or all the area south of Ugento. It's quite empty in the Winter, but in Summer you will enjoy better without people caos hehe.
