Yes, this is the ultimate solution. Look for a decorative gem and stick on the LED location. Now I can record my son in the public without the stupid blinking led on my face. By the way, don’t upgrade to v3 and beyond - now I can’t seem to lower the audio level of the recording ‘blink’ sound.

Can't you avoid the tape/covers entirely, and just do the "I'm scratching my head" maneuver with both hands over both lenses/LED to start a recording with your voice (obviously, you'd have to use voice because starting it with the button would be tricky with this method...) - Does that work?

Make the Black tape for the light sensor ROUND to fit perfectly. Then, poke a pin hole in the black tape and apply. The device will now record and the light is BARELY noticeable when recording.

Does this actually work consistently regardless of ambient light levels? Are you aware of any product sold at the correct dimensions (hole-poked or not, but can be poked into), I don't want to measure this out.

@@gedis080 no firmware version is not written on glasses. you can ask owner to go to meta app > choose your glasses > Glasses & privacy -> You glasses -> Updates -> and there will be version. right now mine have 5.1 Version
